That is because a certain group of BLK people doesnt live there.. Most Asian people have pride on where they live whether it is poor or middle class.. Meanwhile BLM people gets free welfare, free housing, free food stamps but still keep their streets and home looking like a tornado went through it.
Great video! So enjoyable and interesting! Can I give you a suggestion? There are times when your camera movements are very smooth, and yet near the 3/4 point the camera movement seemed to be more affected by your walking movement. The other thing I would suggest is when you begin a new shot, start out with the scene in stillness before panning. This is all suggested to you in pure respect to you because overall you do a great job and you have chosen a wonderful subject, these timeless living spaces that have such a time-created patina. Thank you!
I find these places very cozy despite the apparent poverty. I have never seen this kind of brickwork in Europe, it looks very beautiful. Does anyone know why they are laid like this, vertical bricks placed in horizontal rows?
You can have the very nice and relatively clean main areas and then go right around the block and find the complete opposite. From my experience much of south east asia and south america are like this.
Of course there are such neglected poor areas there... Similarly in most countries in the world. It takes time to improve such places; China has been consistently doing it.
Relatively clean for a slum though

In the USA, that wouldn’t qualify as a slum, because you can leave your bike outside and it doesn’t get stolen 😝

Yes, I agree, and from my experience the US, UK & Europe have homeless & their shelters lining the streets, beaches and parks.
@ unfortunately accurate
Thank you for your advice.
thank you for your video! do you know how many people in china still live in such places ?
I have no idea.
Honestly the vast majority unfortunately.
