There is old place that look like this in Bangkok Thailand. The empty room with steel cage and brocken glass window. But it mostly blocky, not mazelike like this town. I guess it's because the landscape of China that full of hill and mountain. The messy wiring is also similar to Thailand. XD

I wouldn't call Yunyan Village a slum. A real slum get broken roads, garbage everywhere, foul river and cesspool of sewage in the open.
