Real Poor Villages In China's Rural Area, The Life of Poor Farmers in China.
Hello everyone, welcome to my channel! Today, I’m going to show you what rural life is like in Chongqing, China. Daily life in Guizhou's countryside is rich with local characteristics and rustic charm, showcasing a blend of tradition and modernity. Typical daily activities include feeding poultry, digging and cultivating land, planting crops, repairing houses, and making handicrafts.
Guizhou’s landscape is primarily mountainous and hilly, with scattered farmlands. Farmers mainly grow traditional crops such as rice, corn, potatoes, and chili peppers. Economic crops like tea, tobacco, medicinal herbs, and vegetables are also widely cultivated. Rural houses in Guizhou are often built along hillsides, with common architectural styles including wooden stilt houses, stone houses, and mud-brick houses. These structures are well-suited to Guizhou’s humid and rainy climate and reflect the cultural heritage of the local ethnic groups. Villages are often surrounded by small streams or natural springs, creating a peaceful and picturesque environment.
With the implementation of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization policies, some areas have seen the integration of traditional dwellings with modern brick houses, leading to improved living conditions. Similar to many rural areas across China, Guizhou's countryside has a large number of migrant workers leaving for cities, resulting in villages being primarily inhabited by the elderly and children. Elderly residents usually take care of the household and farmland, while children attend rural schools, living a relatively simple life.
In recent years, thanks to government support, the conditions in rural schools have improved, and greater attention has been given to the care and education of left-behind children. Modernization is accelerating in Guizhou’s rural areas, with widespread access to electricity, running water, and the internet. In some regions, modern agricultural technology and eco-tourism projects have been introduced. Although life still moves at a slower pace, improved infrastructure has made rural life more convenient than ever.

    Not all roads but some roads smell sewer in tier 4 and 5 cities in China. They need to fix that if they want to invite more tourism. Also good for Hygiene. I saw some peddlers were dumping water from the big pot after finish cooking noodles or dumpling into the sewer system. LOL There is a river in FuZhou. I think it is Zhongting street. The river water supposed to be green but half is black because someone dumping something into the river. This is is something the local govt needs to address. Washroom in Fujian is not clean. I proposed a paid washroom and guarantee 5 star hotel cleanliness. This will protect the investment for the newly rebuild washroom and hygiene for the people.

    Y’all talk about this being a great life. But if that is true, why are the young folks leaving, leaving behind mostly elderly folk as said early in the video. I think this would be a hard life. Simple and in beautiful terrain, but a hard way of living. Guess I’m just a city girl who enjoys some modern conveniences, having opportunity for good education, ample supply of food, decent healthcare, and more human interaction than this lifestyle. If y’all love this lifestyle, I am interested to know if this is how you live? And if not, why not?

    I’m from the Netherlands, so I’m used to walkable cities. But they are silent. And here is constant noise everywhere. It would drive me crazy. Where is it coming from? And China is very old, didn’t this town have nice old buildings somewhere?
