You attain eternal life by surrendering to God's will and turning away from sin. Only then can you love God's creation. And the best way to care for God's creation is to help people turn from their sins and be reconciled to God. That's the best way to love humans. When you do that you will genuinely engage in corporal works of mercy: feeding the poor, visiting the sick etc. That's why only those who love God can love the poor. Mother Teresa, St Francis of Assisi, St Clare and countless others loved the poor more than anyone because they submitted to God first, lived out His commandments and let Him minister and love the poor through them.
I have seen it myself - those religious orders and priests who first of all live out holy lives by keeping the commandments are the ones who love the poor the most. Those liberal religious orders and priests fail in this commandment and because they are compensating they are the loudest about ministering to the poor, when in reality they do either nothing or close nothing.
And that is not what all religions teach. Christianity is the only religion that teaches that God has a special love for the poor.

Worshiping Buddha is mistake but following some of his teachings of love is great. God is present in the teachings of love no matter how these people didn't see the real God but deep down they believed in kindness and generosity of love.

1. Timothy 4:10. All people are saved. But just because you are saved, doesn't mean, that you accepted it. Only those you accept the salvation, will enter the gates of heaven.

The Church has always taught that all those not of the Christian fold who lead an upright life, walk by the light of conscience, exhibit kindness and goodness and who display goodwill to all, can and will be saved through the infinite love and mercy of God.

The catholic church teaches there is no salvation outside the church, and it would also go towards the other christian denominations who are unifed partially and invisibly, but those outside the baptism and christian faith can be saved if invincibly ignorant. I just want to clarify thay there is something known as invincible ignorance, meaning to no fault of ur own, you did not know any better, and God will judge you according to what you had. Also, the salvation found only in the church can be said of the other christian people in other denominations, like eastern orthodox, coptic orthodox, and so on, since they are partially united to the church invisibly, yet full salvation they would not have.
