You made this look easier than i did ....... so smooth. Love it
Hell yeah!
Ngl, this album was and is the reason I'm a fan. Back in the day, when this came out, good god damn. Shit was fucking incredible. I think it still holds up today. First album was cool, but this was frickin stellar. Nice work, Mike. Sounds killer. Brings back memories. Love it.
Very impressed how tight the whole band sounds, I'm loving these vids, Mike!
I like how you hit all the notes being played
What? What does this mean?
Edit: Was expecting some sort of troll, but they meant it literally
@@tritex6350 I hit all the notes that are being played
@@MikeCaputo I think he means how you play the song with damn near 100% accuracy as the studio version.
@@tritex6350I think he means when he hits the drums actual audio comes through and when you hear audio he’s actually hitting everything you hear. VS there being times where he hits the drums and you can’t actually hear anything(like I’ve seen with other drummers)
@@tritex6350 It means that it is not edited and he hit all the notes, unlike some other drummer who edits the audio of their "raw" playthroughs
Mike, its an absolute pleasure and education watching you play. Salute
The Fall of Ideals is honestly one of the best metalcore albums of all time. What a blast it must be to play all those awesome tracks with this band.
Fr. I have it in my Top 3. It's sooooo good
Beast
Good job sir! 👽
Its always nice to see how can be look playing around the stage with someone who play better than you. Inspirational.
HARD
🎉❤🎉😮
Why the swivel technique only on the right foot? Maybe I’m blind but I noticed it at the fast kick parts.
@@treysword1443 idk that's just how I play naturally so if it ain't broke don't fix it
Killed it 🔥🔥🔥
Hi, what`s purpose of second bass drum if you use only one? quickly change up if something happen?
Stage aesthetics, its a classic metalcore/deathmetal thing to have double bass drums
Not only that, playing with two kicks also introduces a lot of other difficulties live. Sound difference between kicks, one failing, extra mics, just to name a thew
So other than image, there is no point to having the 2nd bass?
@@MasNalgan well, in the early days (1930s) this was the only way to play the double kick. The double kick pedal was invented three decades later (1960)
@@MasNalgan I would say some classic death metal drummers wouldn't go anywhere without there second kick because its what they're used to. Ergonomically its hard to integrate without out it costing greatly.
Also having room for other pedals (percussion etc.) can be a great advantage for some drummers!
What brand of double pedal are you using? Is it trick?
@@NocThunder Czarcie Kopyto
ATR is like Wine, older = better. Glad to see you in ATR family Mike! Flawless drumming!
Killer performance bud! 🔥
Had to click cause I was like, what happened to Anthony haha. That's sick man
I hate these dudes trying to talk shit about being in the band, but yet if they were that good, they would've been in the band and not you hahah. Keep it up man. You a badass.
crazy good drumming
Sickkkk
I see that you still havent learned how to blast the snare while lifting your hands…
@@elegy69 I gotta work hitting the snare with the energy from my chi while keeping the stick up in the air. For now all I can do is hit it with my stick like a noob
@@MikeCaputo Gotta learn from Marco and play the snare with your dick while your hands play ride on the right and bell on the left.
@@nigelproctor I am talking about a skill only certain lords can master
🤘
I like how the notes being played are hitting you
You are drumming for ATR now? Or are you just touring?
@@Petergriffinbigchillin Anthony had to leave for about a week and a half so I stepped in until he was able to come back
@MikeCaputo Well, they got a hell of a fill in. Great job btw.
Looks like a drum set, just smaller.
That crowd 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Never sounded so good
Great song from a great album. The clean vocals are a bit out of tune but your drumming is impecable
que delicia
How hard is it to play to a kick drum backtrack? It looks like you're playing it but definitely sample. Lots of notes lots of hits kind of sus
@@K.G.-pr2fc the kick is triggered and mic'd so the sound is a blend of a sample and the kick mic, but every note you're hearing I'm playing. There's no backing tracks. The parts you're probably talking about are the gallops in the verse, which I'm playing RRL
@MikeCaputo I'm just messing around 😂 been waiting for this one to get posted!
I can't Lisining His vocal.....
