A flam is just another drum technique, not something that happens accidentally. So why is it surprising that he doesn't play flams here?
@@dmitryowens I am well aware of what it is... that is implicit in my response. The OP was complimentary on the lack of flam. Your response was in defense of the technique, when a defense wasn't warranted.
He may love flams, there is not enough info here to judge. He loves that there are none where there are supposed to be none. However, and I think we should all agree, it has nothing to do with the individual's appreciation for a technique that isn't apparent, but the lack thereof.

That snare is TIGHT in the best possible way. No triggers, at least none that I can see, just perfect playing, tunning and mixing.

Art Cruz got so much better! It’s nice to see a professional drummer continue to excel. He’s one of my favorite Drummer’s.
Ashes of the Wake still sounds amazing 20 years later. Also, glad Zildjian made an A Custom Mega Bell
its the same as the the old z3 one, they merged the z3 series into the A series a few years ago now.
They’re doing a 20yr Ashes of the Leviathan tour with Mastodon this yr!
I could watch the whole concert like this.. The drummer is the fkin man. His double bass hits are rocking the whole set back and forth.
I was so skeptical when Chris parted ways but man, you have proven yourself over and over again. I'm absolutely blown away by what you've brought to the band. I'm in Maine and catch you guys every time you're in Boston or Portland, you guys are the best show out there! Would love to see more drum cam videos!
I'm honestly still not conviced by Art, he is way better than me so I m badly placed to judge him, but to my ears it can't match the performance to Chris Adler

@@_MarKaoI agree with you, it's like the same comparison people would make between Lopez and Axenrot from Opeth. Chris had more groove and this guy is like a metronome. Both are satisfying to listen to.
Chris was insane for so long but the last couple times I saw him he was really slacking live. Tons of inconsistencies with double bass drags that he always used to nail.
We need more of this!!!! Online presence these days is huge. Big ups!

Showing off your musicianship is what's cool for me. Not a complex beat for you by any stretch. Yet you choose to play the tone and range of the entire kit, at the appropriate times, to maximize the song's impact. The low-end nature of LOG's sound benefits mightily by a short, piercing bell, ping or splash, mixed into the fold. In my humble opinion. Your smile says it all. Thanks for sharing 🤘
Well that playing of the entire kit was Chris Adlers doing. He is seated in the crater of Adler’s creation.

Saw them in Palm Beach on Slayer's final tour. Never really listened to much Lamb of God before that, but they were the best band I've ever heard live. Best live performance of any genre. Just incredible.
