Put these yellowstuff pads on my ST for my first track day and they performed great!! Wasn't going too hard because I had a rally a few days later, but when I had to press the brake pedal a little extra, the car stopped even harder! No fade!
I’ve used ebc on my 350z, never had an issue and great performance. I’m now running a z4 e86, on Brembos (grooved discs) with their performance pads. Unfortunately the discs have warped after about a year - with in around 10k miles (which never happened in my the four years I ran ebc on the 350z. I’m installing yellow stuff stuff pads with Oem Pagid discs in a couple of days... looking forward to having ebc again. Only thing I would say I’d like to see on a test, is a straight line brake test to see how much more stopping power ebc offers over standard
Don’t think most people are running their cars on a track. I’m thinking the majority are looking for a really good street pad. With that in mind, would really like to see stock pads, green, red, yellow and blue all tested in straight line braking. Less emphasis on fade with heat and more emphasis on stopping distance improvements and “feel” of the pads during low speeds as well as highway speeds.
I really like Yellow Stuff pads and EBC. Had Yellow Stuff in my Megane RS250 and they performed great around Oulton Park for the most part, however they didn't last the full day. I'd love to try them in my Fiesta ST, so I think that'll be my next upgrade or EBC big brake kit depending what I do power wise.
Just ordered some EBC USR discs and Yellowstuff pads for my S4. Cant wait to see how they feel. The standard brake pedal feel is already pretty aggressive so I hope I wont be going through the windscreen every time I touch the brake pedal!!
Great video guys and true proof that investing in a good braking product like yours goes a long way 👌👍 can’t wait to hit the track myself with your bits on our Fiesta ST and some of our other cars 👌🙌
I've had good past experience with EBC Yellowstuff on street and for quite a few trackdays at Arizona Motorsports Park in my Fiesta ST (maybe good for 2 weekends, 12 or so 20 min sessions). However, they are inadequate for harder tracks on my fronts. Note that EBC no longer recommends them for track use. At Inde Motorsports Ranch, after puttinh about 5K road miles on Yellowstuffs before the weekend, I was down to the backing after 8 x 20 min sessions (sneaked home metal-on-metal and finished knackering the rotors...). Before this last weekend at Podium Club - a new track with some intense braking - I put on fresh EBC slotted front rotors and the recommended Bluestuff pads. After 6 x 20 min sessions they were down to metal on front inside pads (!!!) I guess next step is to try the RP-1 and if they can't last I guess I need a BBK! BTW, I'm almost box stock with stock power and I wasn't getting any noticeable fade - braking performance was good, just no endurance.
Hi, if you have had issues with Bluestuff on track then we would recommend that you move up to RP-X. However please note that the RP-Series pads are not road legal. For further information, please drop an email to kits@ebcbrakes.com. Thank you.
@@EBCBrakesUK g'day EBC mates & thx for the reply! You recommend RP-X - how do they compare to RP-1 for Fiesta ST on a hard braking track? The plots show the RP-1's have a pretty even mu over their temp range, not sure I need the mu increase at high temp of the RP-X, and posts I've seen mention the RP-1 last a bit longer - or is that mistaken? Smooth rotors - as consumables! - or slotted? Here in the colonies, it's not a problem to 'sneak' to and from the track on 'street-able' track pads. I had the Bluestuffs on for a week before Podium Club with one gentle canyon run and bedding snubs. I found they are fine on the street for me. It looks like either of the RP-1 or RP-X have good mu when cold so I'd swap 'em on and bed them before weekends. For us the season is about done so I'm putting on some basic Dynamic Friction 600-54075 smooth rotors and a spare set of Yellowstuffs I had on hand. They do fine on our mountain twisties. With the FiST, the adorably tiny rear brakes do fine with Yellowstuffs over multiple track days plus street/canyon use. I'll drop you a note to your email in coming days to continue chatting. Cheers!
Dear EBC. In this episode You compare oem brake vs EBC only in front axel or you change brake pads/disc in front and rear axel ? In rear same ? EBC yellow + USR ?
Very good product video! I wish more manufacturers would do similar stuff. Usually you don't really know what to buy, as there are plenty of products to choose from. This exactly the video that I was missing throughout many years of confusing information somewhere in the internet. I just purchased exactly this Fiesta ST and want to go on track days occasionally. So this is the pad to go for! Just two more questions: Did you already had the upgraded brake lines and brake fluid in this video as well? I have brand new stock discs fitted to my Fiesta. Do I really need to upgrade to EBC discs as well, or are the yellow stuff pads working with the stock discs as well?
Hi, yes in this video we did have uprated lines and fluid. You can use our pads with OE discs with no issues although we would always recommend using our discs for the best performance. Check out this video with our BBK on track - th-cam.com/video/PRLzjeEKQMA/w-d-xo.html
Hi drove EBC Discs and Blue Stuff Pads on the Nordschleife last week. After 4 Laps, the right disc bend. So it actually ruined the rest of my track time. I want to have them refurbished, as the brake discs have a lot life left in them. I contacted EBC UK for an information regarding the minimum disc thickness to figure out whether a refurbishment is worth it, or not. Next week is my next trackday and I need to know the minimum thickness(Wear limit) of the EBC discs in the video. Thanks a lot

Hi, thanks for your comment. Yellowstuff pads and USR discs (as used here) are a great setup for daily road use with the occasional track day. Hope that helps!

In terms of content, very useful. Shame the weather wasn’t stable. But too long, 15-20 mins would have been better, and also the continual over-dramatic drum music isn’t necessary. Look forwards to the remaining cars though.
Hi Dan, Thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoyed the video and found it useful and yes, it was a shame the weather conditions were so wildly varying throughout the day! We intentionally left the video at full-length in an attempt to be as transparent as possible about these tests. Hopefully the time stamps in the description will help break up the video and find the relevant sections you want to watch.

I realize it is quite randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?

Interesting how he talks more about the car than the brakes 😃. The ST must be really that good 👌

I just did the same thing. I found a 10% discount code ('PAYDAY10') for the Perfect Brakes website if that helps!

I use the USR with Redstuff pads and they are excellent with way less dust than oem. Can’t go wrong with EBC.

Hi Mark,
Jake was running 32psi (front) and 30psi (rear).
These are HOT pressures which equate to around 25psi cold.
