He says over the intercom that it used to be a cop car, but then they put the hellcat engine in it, I'm sure what they did was instead of swapping motors, just cut the front off of the cop car and a hellcat charger, and swapped em
@@pankak3xd586 that sounds like it'd be more work but literally that is my ideal charger. The body lines are mostly similar but the tail light bar on the 11-14 model years were perfect. It was the perfect homage to the old charger. I never liked the headlights much but the 15-22 model years had the look I always wished the older chargers could have in the headlights.
It combines the grille and headlight assembly in one line and it is reminiscent of older chargers that used to do similar.
If I could have my way I'd do that, but frankly I'm not sure all what is needed to do a front end swap

No . The challenger it's in fact faster than the charger. V6 or V8 in all platforms.
That was my first thoughts. The burnout is necessary the make sure the tires stick so the challenger had more traction which is more than likely why it didn't slip as much

Charger driver has to learn how to take momentum into those corners…those hard brake moments cost him the race. When I learned how to drift my cat, it changed the way I took corners lmao. Thanks to VA International Speedway!

Fun fact: that's the old face body of the 7th gen charger, it has the updated facelift swap. The old face lasted from 2012-2014 while the new facelift from 2015-2023
Not that it matters that much but it was 2011-2014. It had me so confused because I've always loved the pre face-lift and the front had me rewatching the video like 3 times

People that say these cars are planted are always only experienced with other large American cars and SUVS. If you’ve driven smaller, nimbler, lower horsepower cars like BRZs, Older M3s, Rx8s, Miatas etc, before driving one of these , you know how unsettled these are. And there’s a reason why you don’t see them at Autocross and Time Attack events, or any cup racing series.
@@80PercentAshamedOfU point being those smaller & lower to the ground. These cars are too heavy & too low to tip on a course like this. Those cars aldis turn better because they are smaller. The base & length of chargers and challengers is huge, so of course it’s not going to turn like some tiny sports car meant for the track. It’s also on a totally different type of suspension system. These cars are planted. You couldn’t tip it on a turn unless you purposely intended to
