Love me a classic naked GoldWing. Sadly they were never sold in my country at that time so there is no cheap used market :( Have you ever considered modifying it a bit?
Yes they are nice bikes. From the OEM standards I believe I did some good mods. This bike is old but honda put some electronics and electric things that I am afraid of messing up and get the bike running poorly. I will keep like as it is for now, but for the future I might install MotoGadgets wiring system to clear her core.
Only problem was the stator going out,,,which is going to happen,,honda finally fixed the problem with the 6 cylinder 1500,,,all the 4 cylinders had bad stators,,eventually, that is why honda gave out certificate for free stators, although it HD to be installed by a dealer, which can be quite expensive for the labor. I could do it myself in 8 hours, because the engine had to removed from the frame
I did a research and seems to be that those Honda Goldwings had lots of electronic and electrical packed and owners usually were overloading the bike system using everything that the bike had and even adding more stuff. That stator was not good enough for that. But, the Standard/naked might never have that problem because it is a lighter bike with not much electrical/electronic stuff.
Honda Goldwing Standard. The original muscle bike!!

Nice looking bike, probably a smooth ride

@2ride_along best thing to do is solder the connections coming off the stator...take a look at the connector, and see if it is slightly burnt.
