Couldn't agree more with your sentiments on some of the many naked 'wings out there, they really can end up looking hideous if you're not careful. This, on the other hand, is a true credit to the builder, it almost looks like Honda could have made it that way. You've tastefully highlighted the bike's finer details and accentuated its lines with some neat mods. Probably the best GL1000 I've seen.
You did a great job on that bike. It looks like a factory job…. Wow! Now I want one..!

Those goldwings really look badass with all the creature comforts removed.
Nice bike ,i did that to mine..never had a problem with the carbs .cleaned the gunk out and slapped them back on..ran great
😎👏👏👏👏 - Thanks for posting, building one just like this one. 👌
Great bike and great look. Thanks for sharing. Love those pipes :)
I'm going to do something similar to mine after seeing that you made it look like a nice sports bike
Yes the rear light must go!
On the last one I built I used one of those replica chrome Lucas ones (LED) which ended up looking rather good.
I would love one of these.
Wonderful bike!
78 wings are the best 2nd gen to do this with. I have built a couple of these and not all that diff from this one.
GORGEOUS stuff!!!
Clean look. Great job, well done.
Nice job. Beautiful bike.
Sounds good, mate!
Excelente moto!!
why is everyone so scared of goldwing carbs. I just got a 80 1100 and I welcome the challenge of rebuilding the carbs.
Awesome bike
These are cool.
rear fender which model is that from and which year? Btw really nice bike.
CX500, probly 79 or 80
@@lr882027 thanks a lot.
Are the bars just for looks or did you do it to change riding position, and if so, how does it change it?
Hey there, love the bike! Are the fenders a direct bolt-on? I'm looking into doing a similar build with mine.
The rear fender is, the front I have to make some spacer plates things but it's not too difficult, you can alsouse the front fender off of a Z1000 Ltd
cool, i wanna do this now.
120 on its best day.
awesome!
Você não deu uma voltinha com a moto? Ao menos uma!
Im in GJ, here are you?
Nice
Looks like a 400/4 that spent the last 40 years lying on a couch eating doughnuts.
so will that one do 150 mph like the one I owned would?
No it didn't - neither did yours
Less talk,more engine sound please!!!
What year vf?
For the front fender, 83 or so
Junk the carbs replace them with a VW Solex carb.
I had one for 16 years and yours is not 'VINTAGE' whatsoever because it's not stock, nor is it original.
The word "Vintage' relates to length of existence, there's no mention of stock or original. Go back to school and learn the language correctly.
1000 $ can hardly buy a new 50 cc scooter.
Minimalismo 🖤🤌🏼
