My youngest wanted a seabream the other day - think it’s a gilthead - expensive!! Costed us over 5£! But it was so so delicious! It has to be a favorite! That and turbot! I fried it in butter with a bit of salt, lemonpepper and fresh parsley. Yum!! But did NOT get full but had to try it.

Smash and The Gurnesy Angler 👍 Next time you steam some oysters mate try em with some garlic chili paste on top lemon and fried onions. Sure you will love it! The combination really bring out the oyster flavor. But nice fish cook up gimmie a piece 😂😂.

Hi Fred I found a local chilli sauce company on Guernsey who make a sweet chilli sauce and have mentioned it to Jay and Sam as it would go well with the lobster's, prawns etc. Be great as Smash would help a local producer and all grown where Smash lives to.

Black bream are lovely to eat, best tasting fish there is! But I cook them always first on the inside and the skin at the end!

Great catch and close up with rig setup etc. Nice size Bream to and yeah great to eat. Fresh is best. Bream is also great raw to(sashimi).
Think you have converted Sam into liking chilli to. That's the way to have it ie mild. If you have silly hot it can/will scare people of.

That is one heck of a fishing pole. I fish fresh water so I don't think I have ever used anything like that. Great rig set up.

Hello from Tokyo. What did you do with the head and the born? As a Japanese I must write this. You should try make miso soup.with it. For the head, make sure to take the gills and clean well. Put them in a pot, add ginger (ginger takes out the fishie smell) then boil. Take the ginger, the head and bone out of pot, and kill the heat. Add miso, scoup with spoon and use chopped stick to brake the miso. After you start adding miso, never boil the water again. If you heat miso too much, it loses its flavor. Chop fresh spring onions and add before you eat it. You can add tofu if you like - then you and Sam be true Japanese.

With the fish in that spot they are very close into the shore so we only need to be 20 yard out 👍

Black Bream are one of the most under rated eating fish in the UK, I caught some on Thursday and ate one and froze the rest (they freeze really well)
