If you use CryoUtilities you can get rid of most lag spikes and play it at a locked 40 fps in most scenarios with Medium-High settings, native res (800p), no FSR, and textures on maximum if you allocate 4 GB to the VRAM.
100%ed this on ps5 and still playing it. But sometimes I’m lazy to sit on my sofa and I just wanna play AC6 on my bed so I got it on my steam deck as well ❤

I just destroyed my sd card slot tonight while changing the ssd on the steam deck I put the case back on while the sd card was in and it snapped it into two and I absolutely screwed up the recovery of the sd card now my slot don’t work 😂 just thought I’d share that with you lol
Oh man, that sounds like a nightmare situation! 😅 I'm really sorry to hear that happened. Unfortunately, the Steam Deck's internals can be quite delicate. Thanks for sharing your experience though; it's a cautionary tale for all of us. If it's still under warranty, you might want to reach out to Valve for possible repairs. Good luck getting it sorted! 👍
@@benchmarkbros it is I even try to switch to different scalers but the FSR sogn in the performance overlay itself says FSR OFF and I can see rhe low res
It plays way more than “fine” you never notice those tiny minor drops with the right settings, I wouldn’t say your set up was fully optimised if you’re noticing those frame drops

Played well got all the ending and most of my s rank replays, still the sudden frame drops had me restarting a run now and then

It’s great, but the customization hanger drains the battery like crazy. I personally would like to take my time with it and not have to rush.

Just to rule out any possibilities, is the FSR filter enabled in the Steam Performance Overlay?
