- Stellar Blade is finally here and I can remember back to when I saw this announced as project Eve. Now I can finally review stellar blade after 80 hours and a ng+ run. Stellar blade has its own blend of action combat combining combos from something like a hack n slash game, with more of a souls like style approach to enemies and movement. Stellar Blade is honestly my game of the year and I hope this review helps get anyone else to try and enjoy the game! #stellarblade #shiftup #ps5

I never had this much fun searching for collectibles in a game. And it mainly is because of Eve's poses when she finds a can, they are so fun and adorable. And searching the map is fun too, when you know that you can find outfits.
Collectables are so important imo for making the world fun to explore. Glad u had as much fun as me :)

Im in NG+ and got this dope little build going that fits my playstyle and man the combat gives me so much joy. Especially the bosses
LETS GOO. I love the amount of small builds u can make. Not too in depth but just enough to have some good choice
@@SweisSenpai yea I agree. I tried a build revolving around crit damage and it was fun but man was I missing attack speed. Now my current build is using all attack speed gear, Suppression and burst trance exospine with an emphasis on using overdrive burst ability. It is a ton of fun and depending on what attack speed gears you have, you can hit the max attack speed at 160% when activating overdrive. I love that everything stacks in this game.
I didn't really think about it at the time, but it's really refreshing to have a game with ~40 unique outfits (excluding recolors) that can all be acquired in-game through completing side missions, or finding crates and collectibles. They're all pretty universally good-looking and high-quality too. Compare that to something like Diablo 4 where every cosmetic armor set is just purchased from a cash shop for $20, and most are generic as all hell.
The game was released so polished. Completed the game on ver 1.000 and did not experience any glitches/bugs or had any performance issues.
It was when I installed the patch to ver 1.002 that I experienced my first bug, The brute naytiba in the prologue disappeared completely during Eve & Tachy's finisher.
Definitely should get a sequel

The devs knew us, at least me, so well. By the time I got to Belial, I was running a beta trance build and I owned him with beta trance once…then 3/4 of a bar…by the time he was on his 3rd health bar I was exhausted and back to basics. 11/10 battle. I love it when devs realize you’re going to be OP by some point in the game then go … “SYCHHHHHH”. 😂
ONE of the BEST GAMES EVER made ❤ But PLEASE, for the love of god, NO CENSORSHIP going into the future 🙏🙏🙏 At least, with Stellar Blade probably coming to PC, Eve's design will be on another level with all the Mods possible 🥰🔥👍
I love this game sooooo much! I RARELY!! Platinum a game but I did with Stellar Blade. I did NG+ 3 and had so much fun! Easily one of my favorite games of all time!

Loved this game. I'm really not into souls likes, it's too defensive playing for me so I was a bit hesitant to get into Stellar Blade. In the end, it wasn't that Soulsy for me and it felt more like a Ninja Gaiden game, especially when you unlock the beta and burst moves you have a lot of options and you don't have to play defense anymore! I'd give it a 9/10. Not a fan of how they told the story tho. I didn't wanna read all the notes and stuff and just from the cutscenes it's pretty hard to figure out wtf is going on 😅
Always makes me happy seeing people enjoy new types of games!! Definitely some good abilities and stuff to play around with to knock off some of that Soulsy feel. Glad u enjoyed
I wish tales of could have cosmetic like this without charging an arm. This game generous cosmetic puts other rpgs/game to shame.

For a first entry this is a fantastic game, much like Demon Souls, it got a lot right on its first attempt. This IP has great potential!
The combos need to do more stagger damage when it's your turn to attack, feels really awkward to be locked into a combo after perfect parrying the enemy turn.
The game would also benefit of a launch combo and have some aerial options.
Beta and Burst skills are fun but by the end game and even NG+ they become too overpowered and become the entire focus of the combat, L1 + X until shield is broken into whatever else skill.
Music was great and I loved the camp chill songs that would play but for the open world I think the game would be better with instrumental rather than lyrical songs that play on repeat.
World design is well made, I thought I had explored everything in the wasteland just to find some bars to swing from and find new areas.
However, the environments are very bland. I understand that earth is kinda dying at the moment but having two desert areas was really disappointing to see.
Characters could've been more fleshed out, Tachy for example was very sad to see only in the prologue and then a single section in the mid game.
Most characters are very one dimensional.
Boss fights were very fun and engaging but the lack of variety made some fights a bit of a chore.
Very well done review. And you are one of the few that actually likes and knows how to properly platform in Stellar Blade. I love the platforming in this game. It’s so much fun! But… you forgot one of the most important things… the OST! What was your opinion on it?:D
Thank you so much!! I loved the platforming tbh, this is one of those games where once u mess around with the controls u can move Eve around so fast. OST is incredible and I listen to it in the car every day lol
@@SweisSenpai You and me both haha! I’ve been listening to the Attack on Titan OST for over a year. Now that Stellar Blade came along, it is all I’m listening now. They created so many masterpieces in this game it’s almost unbelievable.

Honestly, I loved this, too. Though it felt more like a Zelda game than a soles like to me. My only complaint is the occasional input lag.

"but not as hard as a souls game".. to be fair i had a much tougher time with Raven and Providence than ANY boss in elden ring or Bloodborne(Vanilla game bosses).
And yes that includes malenia(you can easily beat her first try by overleveling and knowing her weakness).
and if you rush through the game and dont upgrade your healthbar or healing, it can get very brutal at the final 4 bosses. and thats not even in hard mode yet.
Its actually very comparable to Sekiro to that sense. if you master the combat system it feels perfectly balanced. but if you dont bring your A game it will fvck you up.
Its much more skill based than stat based how hard this game will be for you.
I actually love the info you put here because since I loved this game I mastered the combat fast and usually do that with most games so this had a perfect balance. If you don’t though, the end bosses can totally whoop your butt for sure
