the sad part is that even though they do this they still always misplay at least once and NEITHER OF THEM NOTICES. like not being able to add sinister shadow games back to your hand because it's not a "shadoll" card. the weird part is, it's also almost always paul's fault.
When possestorage was destroyed, citadel can’t special summon itself because possestorage is a Dark machine monster. Citadel only targets Earth machine monsters

A few missplays were made in the end : 21:38 to 22:21, if the first chain is shaddoll fusion then machina overdrive : the next chain contains Ariel GY effect and Apkalone field eff as chain 1 and 2 (chose order) then machina defense perimeter as 3 resolving first before ariel can banish cards, this is because triggers of the turn's player go on the chain first. 22:35 Apkallone cannot be destroyed by battle and would just killed Machina Fortress here. Please tell me if I am correct. Nice duels btw ^^.
It’s ok to play casually or end a game after 5 or 6 turns too. There is no way “Yugioh should be” that’s like saying every shooting game should be exactly like CoD
This looks like a much more engaging experience to play yugioh. Without any pendulum or link bullshit. YGO goes downhill after XYZ. Just my opinion tho..

I also like a little longer, a bit more casual duels a lot but playing a bit more competitively and OTK'ing someone is also really fun. My favorite deck is phantom knights, since it can kinda do both.
I actually play Shaddolls! Nice to see some representation. I actually really enjoyed this duel and seeing the wonky playstyle I used to have when I first started playing them.
Should make this a series but should have a structure decks all on a roulette wheel and they spin the wheel to decide what deck they get or any oher way randomized the decks Also would be cool to see it mixed with. Random box of cards but the random cards are only cards most dont use
@@victorapontejr.8244 the game could be like this. Just Build a deck with 1 card of each and then you wont have crazy synergies anymore whcih makes the game slower

Paul cheated too, he added back Shadow Games from Winda which doesn't work since it doesn't have Shaddoll in the name. I think they even each other out.
This was actually a really fun and entertaining duel to watch. Each move was explained well and executed smoothly, and the top-down look was perfect! Hope you guys do more of these in the future.
This is amazing, idc which decks you use, use the sucky ones from 15 years ago as well. It really puts into perspective how these decks play out the box and how the engines work, I thought for sure Shaddoll would have won, but the Machina engine is just so consistent. Top work
@@k-hut9344 You're trippin. Tripple mechanized madness is actually pretty good. I dueled a guy using a shaddoll/lightsworn deck with a x3 machina deck and wrecked him and he was using hand traps too.
@@kevincifuentes7947 Yeah dude I have a Machina deck made with 3 copies of mechanized madness and it's pretty consistent. The monsters effects combo so well it just creates a constant loop.
It doesn't matter If machina wreck Shaddoll or Shadoll Wreck Machina, I think both are very good decks and If you enjoy using that deck, we don't have any problem Btw. I play Machina
One of the things you really need to do with the deck is abuse reshadoll wendi and the link that lets you fusion summon. Also sinister shadow games isnt a shaddoll spell/trap and el shaddoll apkalonne cant be destroyed by battle
So at 9:31 I noticed Citadel was destroyed but since it no longer had a valid card to destroy after construct was flipped down it shouldn't have been destroyed by it's own effect. Just a little observation I made while watching this duel play out.
I actually when the El Shaddoll structure deck came out, I bought three so I can build a 60 card deck that is only for fusion summoning's and just added some childhood nostalgic favorite cards of mine, and when I was doing it, I would picture myself being transported to the world of Yu-Gi-Oh GX with the deck because that world was all about fusion summoning's and its my favorite type of summoning.
Great duel guys. Honestly playing these decks that aren't built to have insane synergy is refreshing. Its fun to have those duels from time to time where you special summon like 8 or more times in a single turn, but I miss the fun back and forth where each turn was fairly short and each player gets a chance to play
Can you explain to me why tthe fusion monsters from the shaddolls went into the normal monster zones? Gosh this is so confusing. Also with the way I understand the Extra Monster Zone and the Link Monsters: Isnt only putting "shaddoll construct" as a link 2 into the deck kinda pointless, because it only links left and right, so you cannot fusion summon anything more using it? I am coming back to the Game from year 2015... trying to learn the "new" rules.
Rules changed again April 2020 a month before this video was made. The only cards that its mandatory to summon to an extra monster zone is pendulums and links. But Fusion, xyz, synchro can be summon to main zone or extra monster zone. I'm getting back into it so I might be wrong. But I'm sure I'm right.
16:33 I think you might have misplayed, Paul. Winda's effect says a "Shaddoll" spell/trap, which I'm pretty sure means it has to have Shaddoll in the card's name, not effect text. So you couldn't get "Sinister Shadow Games" with her effect.
Cool video, reminds me of me and my little brother back in the day. We always bought the newest structure deck once and played against each other using only these cards. We bricked a lot but it was always fun :D
Same but with Machina deck, I loved the Machina Citadel when I saw his image, then I decided to buy that deck and I felt very comfortable with that deck, Citadel is a Key for victory, but you can still win without him, because Fortress has a very good effect
Forgot the guy's name, but I definitely recommend the guy playing Machina give the machina scrap deck a try, there's some neat combos for that deck. Further forward from that there's MIT which is a deck that I think will take a tournament top by surprise, its got some excellent resource loops and starting combos and a lot of interaction for your opponent on top of the Train OTK pacakage.

i also built a deck with the original machina monsters, but it was a decent machina/gadget deck with solidarity and once the cards came out i added super defense robots and googly eyes drum dragon to the deck and made it even better THEN when gold and silver gadget came out i updated it again... i actually still have the deck (it's still fun to use but is sadly no longer a good deck by competitive standards) really liking the new support though... looks boss af

I like this series idea. I would like to see a dinosaur vs dinosaur structure deck battle. Dinosaur's rage vs Dinosmasher's fury. Maybe in the future you could do rematch videos or videos with the structure decks but make your own improvements to the base deck list.
During the second round, that time you flipped Squamata after it was Special Set by Falco, that's an illegal move since you can't flip the monster that was Summoned/Set on the same turn, unless via the effects (like Book of Moon/Taiyou, for explain).

i was actually hoping machina would win because i loved the original deck when it came out but was not optimistic about it winning against shadolls, i'm glad i was wrong and actually impressed with the new machina cards so much that i now want to go buy 3 decks and see what i can build with it o.o
I'm not sure about that, I mean, Imagine a Machina Deck with x3 Citadel and with x3 Fortress, those cards made impossible the play to Shaddoll, also, Machina Structure can carry x3 Solemn Strike because Structure already use those cards, and if somehow you manage to banish Citadel or Fortress, Machina Overdrive can bring em back, and also Machina counts with union monsters that allow the Citadel of protect himself from being destroyed by his own effect or any monster that could destroy him
11:33 why did you not negated that effect with Shekhinaga? You had Shaddoll fusion in your hand, so you can pay the cost and Machina fortress was a specialsummoned monster, so you can activate her effect
As a Machina user I feel highly disappointed in the fact (no offense) that thy couldn't solve the easy to learn combos. Also in order to play full power Machina you have to get three structure decks so basically (almost) three of everything. It’s crazy you guys are playing my favorite structures against each other. I have 3 copies of both structures and built a budget deck with both. I run both these decks on EdoPro and locals. This deck gets me wins like crazy you just have to know how to use them. Also I wish you would’ve made a deck with 3 copies of each structure to actually give the deck power. Structures are weak when you only have 1 copy.
While I agree that 3 structure decks make good budget builds these were evenly matched with 1 copy of each. It's also the point of this series to just duel straight outta the box and see what happens. Not to buy 3 and see what deck you can make.
ryan weston I feel you but 3 structures to make an actual usable deck is better plus it gets fans a better feel on how to use a deck so they can actually make the same deck and go to locals with it if they aren’t hardcore yugioh deulists and just casuals.
shaddoll showdown, without 3 copies and competitive cards are just as good as mechania madness. Worse, the only thing that would pose a danger Machina from Shaddoll is Shaddoll Ariel's effect of banishing citadel from the graveyard, otherwise it would just be constant Citadel revive and rageki-ing Shaddoll's field during their turn.

@@squideww Yeah, but the fact is that with 1x it is close to impossible to get the synchro monsters out. While with hero strike the monsters have 1000 atk, 1200 atk. 1600 atk etc. And the tuners and most monsters in syncro deck don't even surpass a 1000 atk points. So the game would be a very old school yugioh and with that in mind, a one sided slaughter.

Technically, Sinister Shadow Games is not a “Shaddoll” card so you actually can’t recycle it with your fusion monsters’ effects.

Machina Fortress has an effect that if it is destroyed by battle, destroy the opponent card.
But other than that, good eye!

Citadel say when a earth monster is destroyed you can special summon it from the gy that play was illegal and Possessed storage is a dark monster
That's why I hate that 2 of the Machina monsters are DARK Attribute. It messes with the synergy of the deck. Ugh! 😅
Also he could only special summon once for the rest of the turn and he special summoned twice

When Possesstorage attacked duel 1 you subtracted the damage from the wrong player. Didn't end up mattering, but still wanted to point it out.
Yeah , I noticed too. It's a bit confusing keep track of LP in that way, actually (both for we viewers than for them apparently)
Apakalone's Effect was forgotten in the last duel, she can't be destroyed by battle.

Reason I got into the yugioh tcg was because of Shaddolls. I saw Construct and she called my name...

Maybe in the future you could do rematch videos or videos with the structure decks but make your own improvements to the base deck list.
During the second round, that time you flipped Squamata after it was Special Set by Falco, that's an illegal move since you can't flip the monster that was Summoned/Set on the same turn, unless via the effects (like Book of Moon/Taiyou, for explain).

i was actually hoping machina would win because i loved the original deck when it came out but was not optimistic about it winning against shadolls, i'm glad i was wrong and actually impressed with the new machina cards so much that i now want to go buy 3 decks and see what i can build with it o.o
Shaddolls are what brought me back to enjoying yu-gi-oh again this video was a great watch

I'm not sure about that, I mean, Imagine a Machina Deck with x3 Citadel and with x3 Fortress, those cards made impossible the play to Shaddoll, also, Machina Structure can carry x3 Solemn Strike because Structure already use those cards, and if somehow you manage to banish Citadel or Fortress, Machina Overdrive can bring em back, and also Machina counts with union monsters that allow the Citadel of protect himself from being destroyed by his own effect or any monster that could destroy him
I don't know nothing about shaddoll, only that is a good deck, but as the way I saw this duel, Machina could take care of Shaddoll

As a Machina user I feel highly disappointed in the fact (no offense) that thy couldn't solve the easy to learn combos. Also in order to play full power Machina you have to get three structure decks so basically (almost) three of everything. If you do want to play full power pure Machina then follow this deck list:

It’s crazy you guys are playing my favorite structures against each other. I have 3 copies of both structures and built a budget deck with both. I run both these decks on EdoPro and locals.
This deck gets me wins like crazy you just have to know how to use them.
Also I wish you would’ve made a deck with 3 copies of each structure to actually give the deck power. Structures are weak when you only have 1 copy.
While I agree that 3 structure decks make good budget builds these were evenly matched with 1 copy of each. It's also the point of this series to just duel straight outta the box and see what happens. Not to buy 3 and see what deck you can make.
ryan weston I feel you but 3 structures to make an actual usable deck is better plus it gets fans a better feel on how to use a deck so they can actually make the same deck and go to locals with it if they aren’t hardcore yugioh deulists and just casuals.

I'm not going to lie, I thought Shaddolls were gonna steamroll machinas but long behold, it was the other way around. Gg fellas
shaddoll showdown, without 3 copies and competitive cards are just as good as mechania madness. Worse, the only thing that would pose a danger Machina from Shaddoll is Shaddoll Ariel's effect of banishing citadel from the graveyard, otherwise it would just be constant Citadel revive and rageki-ing Shaddoll's field during their turn.

An idea that could possibly work well is a 3v3 match with LEDD (DM, Cydra and Odd-Eyes) and LEHD (HEROs, Aesirs and PKs)

In duel #2 Winda wouldn't be able to add Sinister Shadow Games from GY to hand as it is not a Shaddoll S/T

That is not even a close fight. Syncron structure deck is one of tge worst structure decks I have ever played. But I suppose it is doable at 3x.

@@BrotherHood-xh9sg hero strike is pretty bad as well, your best move is summon neos alius with honest in hand or set shadow Mist and call of the haunted if you don't have mask change in hand
@@squideww Yeah, but the fact is that with 1x it is close to impossible to get the synchro monsters out. While with hero strike the monsters have 1000 atk, 1200 atk. 1600 atk etc. And the tuners and most monsters in syncro deck don't even surpass a 1000 atk points. So the game would be a very old school yugioh and with that in mind, a one sided slaughter.

Hey guys I just bought the machina structure deck as I’m back into yugioh after an almost 15 year hiatus... y’all have any modifications or recommendations to add to the main deck or extra deck? I’m newly familiar with xyz, synchro, etc.
I'm here because I recently got into Yu-Gi-Oh and bought myself the SHSH structure Deck.
I read about a couple misplays in the comments but haven't seen this: aren't the special summoned monsters supposed to go in the extra monster zone? (left of where Paul summoned his El Shaddoll Construct)?
I suppose they are playing along with the MR5 rule which allows players to special summon monsters from the extra deck on the main monster zones.
Currently playing the machina deck against my son who is using the saga of blue eyes deck. He has been playing for 1 week. I have played since 2004.
I haven’t won against him yet.
You should do a tournament using every existing structure deck to see which one is the superior structure of all.
