    I think Rowena reading children's stories to us should be more of a regular thing.
    I like that diving board metaphor. There's actually a philosopher who said that he learned to swim free by jumping into uncertainty from a diving board when he was a child. This he called primal trust.

    I've only done meditation once then i just stoppped overall. Maybe i should give it a month and see if it does anything.

      It’s a looooong process, but you will know that it’s working for you. :) Try The Daily Meditation on Spotify too

      Oh yes! Stay with it if only for 5 or 10 minutes a day. Its AMAZING. Guided meditation is so much easier than silent. Best of luck. 😊

      Even just 5 minutes can help give you a breather. There's a channel I'm subscribed to called Leeor Alexandria and she's been doing a "meditate with me" challenge for every day in November. I haven't watched/listened to them but I generally like her channel.

    In this sensory overload of a year, silence is something I have been increasingly practicing more of simply because I need it, and I don't need to fill my life up with noise, music, podcasts, or someone else's thoughts/opinions just to battle loneliness. There is healing in solitude and silence. That way, I get to consciously and intentionally bring noise back into my life when I'm reading to receive someone else, like in this video. What we take in is far more valuable that way.

      Beautifully said! Sometimes I play happy music on youtube on the days when I’m feeling lonely, only to end up feeling even more miserable. Now I find sitting with myself in silence (meditating, journaling or private-vlogging) helps way more with anxiety/loneliness. After all, we are our own best friend.

    I have one role model in my life and it's Rowena Tsai. She's so so important to me and I relate to her on an unbelievable level sometimes.
    She helps me so much. I've been following her for some time (I think for a year and a half now) but only this summer and fall I actually started paying so much more attention to everything that she says and does and rewatched her older videos with the new vision that I have now.
    There are many more youtubers that have a somewhat similar brand, but my beliefs and systems match up to hers the best, she also feels the most honest to me. I'm grateful to her for the knowledge and experience that she gives. I'm happy that I know her at times like these and I'm happy seeing the progress both in her life and mine. I wish nothing but the best to her.

    Yes love all of these suggestions ❤ honestly I really notice when I don't get time to do my self care routine on the weekends, especially in 2020.
    Recently I've been feeling I need to revamp it a bit bc I just started a new job and my brain is like MUSH and I'm so drained i really need the time to recharge.
    Coincidentally, I was reading through some old journals and found the original routine (2014!):
    - start the day with a lie in
    - journal/read
    - work out
    - followed by the pamper shower (I.e. masks, shave everywhere, etc.)
    - I put down that I could eat WHATEVER I wanted as long as it was soul food basically
    - make time to call my fam,
    - do my nails,
    - curl my hair if I was vibing it,
    - tidy my space
    - write/journal/create/binge a show
    - end the evening with meditation and yoga and clean sheets.
    Recently out of all of that, I've been doing the shower bc that's what NEEDs doing. I've copied the old routine into my current journal and I'm trying to follow it as best as I can. I've also been sleeping a lot - what's the point of working from home if I can't sleep enough?
    I've been trying to keep in mind I will never get an opportunity like this again, yes I have to work when I want to die from no sleep, but at least I can do it in my PJs and I can nap on my lunch break. Idk it's weirdly comforting thinking at least I don't have to drag myself into an office

    I always have the hardest time being “present” bc I have a dissociative disorder. If anyone had tips for mindfulness whithout the whole being present thing bc most days I am completely disconnected from reality that would be wonderful...
