I find it the best way to describe depression, especially when people try to romanticize it.

the fact that so many people have to pay for therapy and can't afford it makes me so sick.. it should be free everywhere. Without therapy I would maybe not be here anymore. Thanks to universal healthcare I've been in therapy for five years and after a break of a few years I started again this year. Thank you for discribing depression so well!

Thank you so much for talking about the guilt that comes with depression (or a lot of other mental illnesses). It is a very real thing, and I do not really hear people talk about it. I still have a very bad self image due to feeling guilty because of my mental illness since I was 13. It has quite an impact on people.

That part of relationships and “sorry rounds” really resonates with my experience of chronic depression. I really appreciate that you have emphasized this aspect. I have blamed myself for years for constantly losing friends and not being able to sustain a relationship of any kind - but that is who I am and who I will always be. Having friends that understand my situation and know when it’s time to drag me out of my room or leave me alone made me realize that I cannot solve this problem alone. It really does help having even one friend that is aware of your situation and knows how to react upon it and most importantly - does not expect you to act happy, joyous and positive when being with them and just for them. It’s really hard to accept that most people will not find this type of relationship fulfilling enough to stay and it is ok to let them go. It goes both ways.
Nina, thank you for being so open about this. I really enjoyed this video and many of your previous ones. Keep doing what you do! 💞

Love you and thank you for making my day.

I'm glad this was of some sort of help. It often seems like a lot of work but it has made me a more compassionate person and I'm sure it has done the same for you. I hope you have someone you can reach out to! There should be no shame when it comes to mental illness, but of course that is easier said than done. I have lost many friends over time because I wasn't able to go outside much and I lost my job and stopped all kinds of activities. I had anxiety for almost 10 years. Sometimes it was okay to go to a small party and sometimes it was impossible to go to a store on the next street. It was pretty bad, multiple panic attacks on daily basic. After many years of looking for cure I went to tibetan doctor who is pretty special I must say. He gave me herbs, did accupuncture, and some other things and after few moths it started to get better. After a year I still had those thoughts but my body wasnt reacting to it so they would drop. After about two years (of taking those herbs) I felt like a different person, my life changed completely. I could freely go on a transatlatinc flight, go to dance classes and use subway (which was a problem before). What I mean is I really wish everyone who struggle with depression or anxiety or both would find something that will cure them. It's not the same thing for everyobdy od course, but everyone deserves to get better and feel like they're alive. Sending hugs!

That's what I'd do to include body and sould in my healing. They're not the only ways but that's what I have concluded to be my tops off of all I've found so far.
