reminds me of Ramlethal when she first came out for Sign. very placement and setup heavy character that'll be an absolute terror once all his optimal setups get figured out. can't wait I think Answer will end up very good.

PaulOkon1981 Yo! I said the same thing when I watched the stream and saw his moves! The way he swipes you with the cards, throwing the cards to the ground, his back step reminds me of Oswald's dodge, the special when Answer throws the cards, a counter that teleports him. All that! Even his dress attire reminds you of Oswald. I'm glad someone else sees this because Oswald was DOPE as FUCK, AND King of Fighters 11 was the SHIT!

Daisuke used to work for SNK before working at ArcSys, so he sometimes likes to add little nods and tributes to their games. A ton of Baiken's moves and animations are references or straight up ripped from the Samurai Shodown/Last Blade series.
not just SNK games, ASW use elements and ideas from different games. Kum (Ryu/shotto), Raven (Jedah), Sol (Terry Bogard). It goes with their name. A.ction R.evolution C.hallenge. They adapt and rework ideas and use them on another level. The Cell Shaded style with limited movement frames of Xrd is another example. Already a thing, but never used that way.

Slayer seemed to glow some purple aura all around
Slayer gets a temp buff whenever he lands the grab, now, so it's a handy visual indicator. You get Counter-Hit status on all your special moves, even if they hit regularly.

If you're talking about Venom he's not openly gay and we don't know if he's gay at all. The community REALLLY thinks he is though because he'd die for zato (but Zato is the one who took him in a nurtured his talent and all that sooooo.....)
