In Todays Thailand travel video, I finally get my Thai drivers license from scratch. Although there were a few hurdles along the way, we got it done. In the video I give you a step by step guide for getting both your motorcycle and car license in Thailand as a foreigner.

I wouldn’t be able to swap my drivers/motorbike license for a Thai license at all, because I need my American license because I’d always be returning home. I guess if I moved over there long term for real, I would do so. A residence certificate as well plus more, wow! So much to do to make that happen.

Hi LLOYD, just subscribed to your channel. Re driving licence, I paid an agent to organise my motor bike and car licence, had photo taken and waited 30 minutes bingo. I did have a International licence for both car and motorbike issued in Sydney so probably this helped the process. Pattaya is the easiest place to obtain both and worth the trip.

Oh, dont compain ! It took me 3 months to get Aussie Vic License., spent lot of time and money even more than you spent it in Thailand.
Things here in Australia are not easy and it much more costly than Thailand

I hear you Lloyd - only took me two full days to get my motorbike license. I did my practical test in a simulation track in the pouring rain and couldn't see a thing - I was more worried that I was going to stack it.

Yes, that’s guy paid for 5,000 and get the license and don’t need to do any test but those licenses is a fake license. if anything bad happened on the road when police check in the system where the license come from then police will see no data showing in the system then that’s guy will get a big trouble driving without license and using a fake license to drive

I recall my memory about going to Black Canyon Coffee shop in Bangkok with my Aussie friend and his American friend in year 2000.
The American ordered Ice Coffee . ONCE he got it, he made such 1. a big complaint to the shop manager that it is not ice coffee like American Ice Coffee and he not happy to pay for it. 2. He complained that the manager has poor English .
My Aussie friend and I felt very embarassed about such his behavior and compliants.
Thailand is not a colony of any country.

Thai people to speak English well.

4. At the end, my aussie friend unfriended that American man for his such an unacceptable rude behavior toward Thai people.
Luckily I got my international drivers license before I left Oz, so hopefully I’ve got a bit of time to practice driving on the roads before I go and get it or LOL pay for it! Must say though I wouldn’t have passed you because you had your arm on the seat while you were reversing.😂

So, let me get this straight. You don't have a Thai Driver's License, but you are driving a car to the driving test. If you did that in Australia, they would immediately take your license off you. Well, if you had a license, they would.
