I woukd lije to see The Eugenics Wars as a Star Trek fan production as long as follow the original source material from Greg Cox's books which ties in Khan's back story leading up to TOS episode Space Seed.

To be appointed to serve on the Bridge is an honor I would imagine some personnel would work their entire careers to achieve, to have made it there as an ensign is a remarkable achievement, that Chekov was somewhere else the year before seems quite probable. We do see never forget a face Khan addressing groups of crew trying to win them over to his cause.
Maybe Chekhof was serving somewhere other than the bridge, and that's why we didn't see him until the second season.
There's actually a novel that has Chekov as a lower decks member of the engineering crew that tried to resist Khan's take over of the Enterprise.
Walter Koenig was screen tested to be in the show BEGORE Shatner filled in as captain. In the show, he was likely already aboard before serving bridge duty.
No one ever notices the “Guardian Of Forever” rock formation when Chekhov and Terrell beam down to Ceti Alpha Five.
Khan is the villain in STII which is widely regarded as the high point of Star Trek by many, including myself.

Terrans from the Mirror Universe ARE augments.. that's how they conquered the Vulcans, Andorians, Tellarites, Denoubulans, and Klingons
Respectfully, that is not correct. Their have been many Terrans on screen in TOS, DS9, and ENT and none were augments.

Not ALL Terrans are augments. Respectfully, DS9 didn't show very much of them. But..THEY WERE VERY INTELLIGENT. If they were slaves.. how would they be so intelligent and capable of building a Defiant? Why was a Terran considered the best scientist in the galaxy and tasked with building a device to scan the Bad Lands? Jennifer Sisko.. Augments are not always the physically strongest they have superior intellect.. plus this takes place 200 years after the Terran conquest and nearly a century AFTER the fall of the Empire.. Augments . Enterprise Showed both.. Augments and the Mirror Universe.. Watch for similarities..🤔

If they ever do decide to recast Khan as an adult, like we’ve seen him by the magnificent Ricardo Montalban, hopefully they will cast an unknown who is ready to skillfully burst with great acting chops to the point of leaving viewers mesmerized, and yes, terrified.
Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan was totally ridiculous. Having been given the role though, he did A-OK!

Kahn is great as long as he is portrayed by Ricardo Montalban.
Ricardo Montoban IMO is the definitive Khan. Benedict Cumberbach who also played Khan in ST: Into Darkness, to his credit, did well. But to me, RM, will always be Khan. He just fit the role perfectly.

A few mistakes, the destruction of the ceti alpha planet happened months not years after khan exile and kirk was acting on starfleets order and the incident was ment to be classified

Khan is a great character. I’m not sure why they moved the 1990s genetic wars to late 2050s or so. But, in essence, they’ve created yet another timeline. Lol.

Say in 1947 when they captured the Ferengi ship in Roswell that was intact they studied it pictures of it they even took the panels off and took pictures of the the stuff they didn't know what they was looking at but they they x-rayed it they took off as much detail as they could of it and Khan got you know some of this detail and was able to make a basic artificial gravity and a impulse engine 10% the speed of light was the maximum speed and that was emergency speed the Botany Bay would normally Cruise anywhere from 5 to 6:00 the speed of light and it was a art of fully automated

I don't agree that he is Trek's greatest villain. That title belongs to Gul Dukat. Khan is great, but Dukat takes the cake. Part of that may be because we got so little time with Khan compared to Dukat. Montalban was magnificent in the role, and I'm not sure more time with Khan at this point would level him out with Dukat. Who, after all, could Khan as well as Ricardo Montalban? Nobody could live up to him because his performance is so legendary. I think Trek needs to leave Khan behind.

Khan was a good and exciting story in 1967. Benevolent dic-tator my a$$. He was a rutheless monster.
Khan in 1982 sequel fit well with the episode setup and ended the Khan story arc...with nothing of interest to Starfleet in the 15 years of planetary life.
That should have been it, but nOoooooO. Every hack writer seems to want to put their fanfic low grade spin on the character and resurect or reuse him out of context...worse every attempt.
