When Lyanna came on, we got the sense of who House Mormont was, and why they are one of the prominent houses of the North. Long may she reside!

I'm playing Crusader Kings 2 with AGOT mod and I got a game where the two houses unite. In it, Lyanna Stark survived childbirth but Rhaegar still died which brought her back to Winterfell and was not married to Robert. Jorah married her instead and their children inherited Winterfell eventually.

A character study of the Lannister father would be damn interesting. Cold, calculating and distant yet a great warrior, used to be best friend with the mad king and maintained his family's status throughout the year, he refused to kill Tyrion at birth.
To kill Tyrion would have been an admission to the rape of his wife , and a blow to his house Honor. If anything he is Proud man and would probably want to believe his wife would not bare any child but his, especially in his time of mourning for her.
Totally forgot to mention Lyanna's older sister Dacy who fell at the red wedding trying to protect robb. And there are two other daughters of lady maeg: Alysane who marched with Stannis and Lyra who is still back on bear island in the books.

The Mormonts are, without a doubt, my favorite minor house. I'm saddened we didnt get to see more of them and that most are gone. hopefully one of them remains.
Pound for pound, Little Bear Lyanna was the most badass and noble character in the entire show. This video needs to be redone now that we saw Lyanna Mormont achieve stardom and legend in season 8.
Blackfish is awesome and Edmure has big flaws, but his concern for smallfolk isn't typical noble behaviour and is definetely something to be admired. As for House Arryn, not much of them was left at all which is a shame because we got stuck with Lysa Tully, Robin who in books is going to die anyway of sickness and Harry the Heir who is kind of a dick. In the show however Robin is more a victim of circumstance and bad upringing with crazy mother and Littlefinger. His first choice when told about trouble in the North was to save Sansa, so he's hardly the worst lord around, but someone should really beat the moon door throwing out of his head.
In heraldry, the color white is used as a stand in for silver. Thus the Mormont shield should be read as argent, a fess at the chief and base vert (green), a bear rampant sable (black).

Blackfish is awesome and Edmure has big flaws, but his concern for smallfolk isn't typical noble behaviour and is definetely something to be admired. As for House Arryn, not much of them was left at all which is a shame because we got stuck with Lysa Tully, Robin who in books is going to die anyway of sickness and Harry the Heir who is kind of a dick. In the show however Robin is more a victim of circumstance and bad upringing with crazy mother and Littlefinger. His first choice when told about trouble in the North was to save Sansa, so he's hardly the worst lord around, but someone should really beat the moon door throwing out of his head.
