a golden human being, to think of all the treasure lost! All the pomp for the queen’s funeral witnessed by Hilary’s incredible eyes and mind, and then Hilary herself goes and leaves the world, loses everything, moving to Ireland, cheated once more by failing health! Such a loss, such a loss. It’s so unbelievably sad to think of the work you didn’t get to complete. And then the joy of knowing your incredible body of work will be published until publishing no longer exists and we go all returneth to the swamp. All praise and meadows of human interaction’s in the midnight hinterlands to you, tender and gifted human being x
Such a beautiful tribute to an actual genius of a woman.
Her loss is devastating and I find myself wondering what she would say or write about any number of cultural events we go through.
Her writing is exquisite. Her command of language is exquisite. Her voice was exquisite. You hang off every word she says.
I had to cry when she unfairly taken from this world.
I just finished her autobiography, "Giving Up the Ghost", which I loved. I was very moved by the story of her father. Isn't she a wonderful speaker?
She's such a sweet lovely woman...I'm so sorry she endured so much suffering...
Perhaps her silence as a child and shutting down is why she choose writing as her voice..And oh what a voice it is! ❤
It's rare upon the first time seeing a person interviewed, that one likes them immediately. She has managed to present grace as a dynamic personal force, despite her personal struggles. THAT is what makes a person beautiful! Bravo for this wonderful woman!

She went through all that, accomplishing what she did, it's no wonder at all what she was able to do with the life of Thomas Cromwell. I never for a second would've thought this quiet woman would've ever been in position where she personally would ever hear, "So now get up." And yet for most of her life that's what she kept doing. She's so remarkable.
This wonderful writer is a gift to us all! I hope she enjoys better health for a long time to come!💕

Hilary is incredibly unpleasant on the eye - but a good writer. God balanced her gifts.
