You may get Stuart Little, but very little of us would know anything outside of that. But his music is great, his stuff with Fry was great, and of course Blackadder was great. I have NEVER missed a character as much as I miss Dr Greg House. He felt so relatable & damaged. But the thing that made the show endless, was the way they portrayed PAIN. So many ppl around the world are in pain, & no one has better yet addressed this subject that has until now, been shunned away from TV & Film. And I'm not talking about the cheesy goth brooding psychological pain. I mean true physical pain that doesn't go away. Ever. Huge Laurie is one of those hidden treasures, like Robin Williams, who is miscast in Goofty, temporary, roles playing a stupid character for giggles. And yet when they play a serious role, they have the power to bring you to tears.
Only House does this. Sorry, but as good as Games of Thrones is, I am not going to cry over a dragon!! House, like all of us, feels lost, fragile, fed up, exhausted, & yet has to be brave enough to connect with other people just enough to do his job, & take pleasures where he finds them. Miss him so so much.

As a chronic pain patient, I agree w/you completely. I have not seen *all* of House (Thankfully, my Library is awesome, so I plan on starting over from the beginning), but I remember what you're talking about. I saw the show before I had chronic pain, but those parts of the show come back to me now, on occasion. I wish there were more shows that depicted what I go through, but thank whatever for accurate portrayal of how complex it really is. You're right-House nailed it. Props to them for addressing the subject at all, let alone how ahead of their time they were. Cheers

THAT PART AT 1:51 WHEN HUGH WENT, "IT'S WHAT I'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO..."
THEN SOMEONE IN THE AUDIENCE LAUGHED AT HIM. AND HIS EYES WENT ROUND, ANNOYED THAT SOMEONE LAUGHED AT HIM, JOKINGLY, OF COURSE.
HE QUICKLY SAID, "ABSURD AS IT MAY SEEM!"

I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. Hearing Dr. House say" Sarcoidosis fits" on the show was great. No one I knew had heard of it, an difficult to explain. Since you can't see it, an they never heard of it, most people acted like it wasn't real 😤. Anyway, love Hugh as House.Hugh seems an excellent human and with oh so many talents, acting, piano player, singer, and hes funny too! The man has it all. And also easy on the eyes and very good voice.

Just hearing him talk and saying "I can't imagine why it's so popular since it's such a densely worded show" and I just thought: well I guess different aspects of it appeal to different audiences. I remember when I was a kid (around 8/9) I accidentally saw an episode and I didn't even understand anything that was going on yet it intrigued me, the case, how it happened etc and this was like way in the show (definitely somewhere between season 5-8) and that made me remember it 10 years later. Because of that one episode I wanted to watch the show for years...till I finally did (almost finished season 4)
It's so intriguing watching Hugh Laurie in real life. It's also funny and I love his natural sarcasm...

I have watched all the seasons beginning. To end 3 times . I love that show. I'm sure your music is awesome.

Is there anything Hugh Laurie is not good at? Amazing actor, singer, blues musician. I love that song.
