- We're prepping for lambing season, so pregnant ewes are being moved, and barns are being cleaned out. Lambing season is just a week away at Ewetopia Farms, and the pressure is on! Watch as we carefully round up our pregnant ewes and move them to holding pens while their breeding pens are cleaned and prepped with fresh bedding, thereby transforming breeding pens into lambing pens in anticipation of our new lambs. It's all about creating a cozy, safe space for those first lambs to arrive.

Fresh bedding (and sunshine on my shoulders) makes me smile.😊
PS the EF calendar arrived and it’s beautiful! ❤
@@timelessacres1 I'm so glad you got it and liked it. Thank you 🥰🥰
Lynn is a great photographer!
@cindyboard7816 Thanks Cindy 😊
I’m one of your followers that does binge watch at times. I travel and work full time so when I get behind I binge watch. Or lamb are born, or
Lynne has red hair suddenly, I go back and binge watch. To the two hard workers in the lamb field God Bless and Happy New Year!
@TamaraLongPartei That actually helps our channel a lot because TH-cam thinks people who binge watch your content, really enjoy it, so thank you! Did you find out about the red hair?😁
@@EwetopiaFarms yes I did and this year I decided to let my grey come through I’m tired of hair coloring so I have grey right at my widows peak. Rest is still brown and I have long hair so it’s going to be awhile before it’s completely grown out. Bless you, you hard working 👩 woman keep that Arnie going and healthy
Thanks Tamara! Yes, with long hair it will take awhile but i know what you mean! @@TamaraLongPartei
I had to laugh when Arnie said, “They’re looking at me but I’m thinking they’re not gonna stay back,” and the second he turns away, they hurry forward to investigate and sniff! 😄
Love those sweet Suffolk faces with those floppy black ears. 💛
The barns are going to look and feel awesome for the ewes when they’re all done. 🥰
They are such characters, aren't they?!😅🥰🥰
😘🥰
I really like how you do the endings in your videos. Now we can binge watch in a really convenient way which is awesome. It's pretty cool watching the preparation for lambing, there's lots to do! Thank you for another wonderful video, have a great Wednesday.❤🐑
@jessicacarstairs7520 I think there were over 700 hundred videos on the How We Do It playlist so that's like a mini-series!😅😅
Another great video I find them so interesting the way you prepare for lambing inside where everything is clean and safe for mums and babies. I lambed in the Scottish mountains but not till April in the hope the weather would be kind to us. I loved the music at the end being a Scots lassie ( a pretty old one) it brought a tear to my eyes. Take care and here’s to a great lambing season with many healthy lambs. I can’t wait 😊
I love the Scottish music.❤
Yes, I watch the Scottish lambing and it is different than ours but your climate is much better than ours. Such an absolutely beautiful country too. We loved it there!
Good Afternoon from Germany 🙋♀️
Good night😊
These preparations just before the lambs are very important for the comfort of the sheep even when giving birth, and they'll have a nice clean and dry litter, that'll be fine. I wonder who's gonna have the first lamb, I guess dorset. We'll see. Have a great day with a hearty greeting 😃😃😉Krasava
We will be sure to post who goes first. My guess is Suffolk!😁
Nice video ❤💚
Thanks!
Good morning Arnie and Lynn.
Good morning Patricia!!❤
@ Oh goodness. I separated my conversation. Oops 🤣🤣
😁 All good! ❤@@patriciaruppert201
Good morning !!!
🌹🌹🌹🌹
If you notice, it's not just Ben and Max that try to help Arnie and Lynn do chores. When Arnie was cleaning the first half of the Suffolk Ewe pen, a cat (Alexander?) went and sat in the manger at the halfway point as if to say "Okay girls, I'm the official marker. Please stay over there while he changes the pack!". 😉
@gregedmand9939 Yes, every time we work in the main barn, our helper of the day is always Scotty!😁🥰🥰
@EwetopiaFarms My applogies to Scotty... No slight intended!
😂

The girls are getting a new mattress and sheets today ready for them to become beautiful mommies. Removing the manure pack is quite the job to get everything cleaned up. Tgat ewe was really taking a snooze. Got to get rest before babies are born and the work begins. Never get tired of watching the days activities. Thank you for sharing. Blessings and big big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes, you can't blame them for getting as much rest as possible now, while they still can!😁🥰🥰🥰
I'm getting so excited for the lambs to start coming!!!
Yay! Ready for the circus yet?
Getting there!
I've watched for over a year now and want to say you both are making them better every day. Thanks for all the time you put into making them. Looking forward to seeing the new lambs.
Thank you. I'm glad you think so. I definitely put way more effort into them 🙂
A step closer to baby sheep ❤🐑 thank you for sharing your hard work with us.
It’s almost time!
Thank goodness for machinery. Can imagine cleaning out the barn by hand
I love lambing time, but I also love this time right before the lambs. It looks so cozy in the barn with all the big mamas and the fresh bedding, and they are all resting and eating to get ready for those babies! It feels like the sheep equivalent of drinking a hot drink by a fire watching the snow fall haha!
Yes, I can see that from an outsiders point of view. For me, the anticipation is is somewhat stressful 😅
The sheep seem to be happy with their new bedding. Some of them are looking really uncomfortable, the lambies will be here soon and you will feel better sweet Mamas. Looking forward to a night of binge watching soon! ❤
Yes, you can tell that it will be any day now!
Crawling into bed at night with fresh clean sheets always feels great!! The ewes probably would agree with me.😉 However, I can remember those last few nights before labor started and comfort was not easily found.😂 Having the barns prepared for lambing is surely a weight off your mind. Let the lambing begin!!❤ Thanks for sharing your day with us. Stay safe!!🙏❤🇺🇸
You're so right, it is a weight off our minds having the barns ready and the girls in a clean, safe space! Labor is not a comfortable thing so anything to make them feel better helps!🙂
Hey Arnie do you put lyme down when changing bedding i do in my little barn when cleaning out my pig stalls but looks alot warmer when they have fresh bed .😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
@rhondamitchell5892 yes, and in all the jugs. We actually just ran out and are getting another bunch delivered shortly 🙂
Hello from Florida...I do like binge watching 😊
@@KS-ip5xn Binge away!😆🥰🥰
18:24 sweet ladies being nosy and watching their shepherd 😊
Although Arnie’s voice is essential in teaching us how you prepare for lambing, l enjoy watching “Professor “ Arnie’s demonstrations of his job because that makes the workload feel more realistic.
Your ewes have the best seats in the manure removal class today; the temperature feels of the moment, and, tha glorious 👃
“smellavision.”
Thanks for another wonderful episode, professor Arnie🧑🎓
Manure might be messy and smelly; but this lesson sure looks important and essential for lambing 101. 🐑
@davilynwentzel9551 Thanks. We try to keep it real and natural to help you get a true feel for what goes on but I do have to edit out quite a bit because 2 hours of manure removal would probably be a bit much for most viewers!😅
@, yup, you got that right .
👍🏻
WE LOVE EWETOPIA FARMS!!!! We have and love our sheep too ❤️
God bless from Nova Scotia
Did you already mention how often you have to clean out their manure completely? It’s a big job. We use hay as well!
Thank you so much! We clean out our barns at least several times a year - usually before or after major events like breeding, lambing, etc. Check out our Playlists for some binge watching on How We Do It😁 You will find everything there that you may have missed 🥰
❤❤❤
Wow my first time watching. What a nice set up!
Welcome! I hope you enjoyed it and come back for more. We do a daily vlog and lambing starts very soon 🙂
If a stable cleaner is for cleaning out manure, why aren’t you still using it?
@@alisoncummins2726 it is for liquid manure not dry manure
@ Ah, makes sense!
Ah…used to be a dairy barn, makes sense.
Its a S^*##% job, but someone's got to do it! Big job. You both work very hard.
Hey Ewe! How many days until lambies momma????
Hello guys✨ question 🙋🏻♀️ you don’t use anything on the floors before re-bedding?
We use lime on the floors and in the jugs but we just ran out. We're expecting the next shipment next Wednesday
Hello Lin you have a big and beautiful farm with beautiful babies, i also have a small farm in india i need your help.
Thanks and welcome. We post every day so hopefully our videos can help 🙂
@@EwetopiaFarms yes helps alot i also want to come in your vlogs. Please invite me.
Instead of doing screenshot play lists at the end of each video, why not take a few actual photos from around the farm? I personally skip the repeat shots as I've seen them already, but I'd stay and view new photos. Sun rise, sunset, the sky/view from different areas on the porch or from inside the house. Maybe some photos of the birds visiting the feeders. Stuff like that. I think that would be amazing & different!
Sure. I do occasionally add more but usually run out of time for photo shoots. But will try do more🙂
@EwetopiaFarms that's okay, don't worry about it. I was just throwing a suggestion out there.
