I enjoyed this. It’s been a little while since we’ve gotten to see the cattle and I really enjoyed it. And as for the last one you put onboard well the view was cool too. It’s nice getting more points of view. I actually liked it because it was natural. But you always do a great job with your videos and shots and points of view. Thanks!
I love watching your channel! I don’t think about what happens after they go to auction, as I didn’t think about my sheep or pigs after the fair auction when I was in FFA or even when my daughters where in FFA and with doing that I stay happy and continue on with life and I am able to eat my food ie: meat without any regrets. I think farmers are the greatest and they are the ones who keep people alive and well. Thank you again for a great video Tyler!
more than certain they'd be happy to help him, but who knows maybe they'll wanna get into a different part of AG, regardless it's always enjoyable to watch how a solo rancher works ^_^
Happy New Year 🎉. I have to tell you … you’re my favourite farm type channel…. Looking forward to joining your journey… thru 2025 😃. God Bless you and your family ❤
Your working pen, while still understandably muddy, is in SO much better condition that we've seen it in the past. I'll admit that I wasn't sure how well the wood chips were going to work. But it seems like they have held up very well!
Tylerisms WE have a lot to do today and a lot of miles to cover. I will just leave a trail of brea crumbs. What do you know, it worked like a charm. We'll ne patient with them and sooner or later we will get what we want. Let's make that day today.
Days like this, here, are the ones that remind me how extensive my "farm vocabulary" is. 😬😂 Yours looked to have gone fairly smooth, for sure (or you have amazing audio editing skills). Fingers crossed calf prices are still high over yonder.
I love the white markings on that last heifer you grabbed. The footage on the last steer you put into the trailer looked great. Glad you were able to catch him and stay safe as well. Looking forward to seeing how much your selection each weigh. I hope you will be able to show some on footage and post a list of all of them. I think that would be fantastic.
I enjoyed watching this video it's been awhile since we've seen you to work your cattle. I agree with you on that last year you don't need a troublemaker and they always seem to stay as a troublemaker until you get rid of them.
Glad she was saved. Fate intervened and her gentle disposition paid off for her. Here’s to her producing lots of good calves! Maybe a head-mounted GoPro would get some good action shots from those feisty cattle moments? A Tyler’s view of the world might be exciting!
Tyler you have a damned good selection of calves there and lets hope they make you lots of money love to you and your family and friends always Brian and Florence
Glad the weather made it a clear trip, good selection discussion. With the last steer, some times the sun just shines at the last minute!! Good post FTR!
Hope u and ur family are safe from the fires. 🔥🔥🔥 I know u said yall are in southern California, but I know how fast fires can spread once they get to the valley.
A wise move to load that last steer. Pity he didn't do that before as you could have kept another, but seeing as they were loaded, you had to lose one. Still, like I said, it was a wise move. Thank you for sharing how you sort the calves. Rivet is a good sire.
You make things look so easy. My friend bought a steer from the auction kinda like your last crazy steer. He brought it to his Dads farm. It promptly escaped and was on the run in town for 2weeks.😂😂 . He chased it at every sighting. It was so bad that when they finally got eyes on him, they had to “dispatch “ it.
Never a bad idea to have a bonus heifer, in the end she may turn out better than one of the others you saved back. I'm also voting for improving the alleyway and loading chute sooner rather than later. Some of that fence is really looking a bit unstable. Sale calves look really great this year! Also, that flighty calf you loaded. I would give a long look at his mother. She may be flighty too and might need to go. You dont need that sort of temperament being bred into your herd for sure
Going to be nice when you get the loading area remade. Nice job getting them separated. There are only so many hours in a day and then different priorities jump out to get done. Good sale rewards.
She is my favorite with all the white on her face. So glad you saw crazy steer before you left. Have a great day. -3 here in central sw Indiana. Looking to get 8"+ by next tuesday.tuesday.
Tyler I was driving up I-5 yesterday morning from SoCal and saw a few signs on the side of the road of ranchers selling sides of beef. This might be a trend starting up, just have to get the consumer used to buying that much meat and meat that isn’t given food coloring.
Do you watch your calves sell? Around here we have some crooked sale barns. If your not there watching they will shave the weights for their profit. Also, if you don’t like or need one of those heifers you can process her. She’ll eat as well as a steer👍🏻
Surprised you didn't get weights on the ones that went to market. But maybe the extra time it would have taken might have made you miss your time window at the sale barn.
Hi Tyler, very nice crop of calves. Look at the body of that heifer, I think she might be of Littleboy. Rivets calves look a bit more bulky? What do you think? We'll done. We always got rid of calves that showed even the slightest sign of being sketchy, holyhannah, you don't want anything like that. All the best. Annie from Western Australia.
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤ 18# fine looking heifer ❤ DNA will tell the sire ❤ just in case you don’t care put 18# with RIVET ❤ I don’t think RIVET can throw black calves 😂 I said it before the sheet talks about the what ifs and don’t have 100 % accuracy ❤ if you can isolate 18# with Rivet and make sure her calf is his ❤then you’re on your way ❤❤ have a great 👍 day.. just can’t wait for calving
Don’t apologize your safety is the most important thing you need to be concerned with.
Thanks!
Don’t worry about the footage, you was excellent at getting him in the trailer 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻well done you xx

Hope you got top dollar for that good looking bunch! Another job completed! ✅
I am so glad you were able to see the steer show his true colors before you left for the sale barn. Im like you, I don't need that at all!
I’m impressed by your sorting skills for a solo rancher. When you get a lot older your kids should be able to help.
more than certain they'd be happy to help him, but who knows maybe they'll wanna get into a different part of AG, regardless it's always enjoyable to watch how a solo rancher works ^_^
Many a time it is easier to sort solo. An extra person to work the gate is ok...
Happy New Year 🎉. I have to tell you … you’re my favourite farm type channel…. Looking forward to joining your journey… thru 2025 😃. God Bless you and your family ❤
Can I suggest another one you may enjoy? Give Ewetopia a look. Lambing time is nearly ready.
Your working pen, while still understandably muddy, is in SO much better condition that we've seen it in the past. I'll admit that I wasn't sure how well the wood chips were going to work. But it seems like they have held up very well!

I'm really amazed how you do this all with absolutely no help at all . ❤Darlene from Ohio ❤️ your family

Those dark red ones are stunning...
Hope all is well with u and your family during these wildfires, praying for yall

Sorting cattle is always an interesting time. You learn new movements and new words !! And the next day you wonder why certain body parts hurts. LOL
True.
I love watching these sorting sessions. It is a demonstration in “How to think like a cow 101”. Thanks for the video.
Nice looking group of calves to choose from Good luck in all ways they go. 😊🙏🏼
GOOD move on last calf 👏
Love the ''work smarter not harder' way you approach things

You did very well corraling that mad steer.😊
Always a pleasure to watch you sort them out and hear the explanation for your choices! Tx for taking us along FT!❤❤
I love the cattle videos!👍🏻
I will go along with you, Rivet , is your best bull right now. I was impressed with his looks the first day you showed him.
Glad the weather made it a clear trip, good selection discussion. With the last steer, some times the sun just shines at the last minute!! Good post FTR!

Welcome @@farmertylerranch4399
Glad you didn't get hurt thank you for the video
Great job! Nice lookin keepers. Tyler you just do what you need to do and we will all continue to enjoy the videos.
You have to know what you are doing when you sort the cattle. Thank you Farmer Tyler for sharing your day with us.
The Riveter babies are looking good...
A wise move to load that last steer. Pity he didn't do that before as you could have kept another, but seeing as they were loaded, you had to lose one. Still, like I said, it was a wise move. Thank you for sharing how you sort the calves. Rivet is a good sire.
Beautiful group of calves.
We always enjoy your posts. Your welding and machining abilities are top-notch. Excellent fand finish is the result of your high skill level.
looked like Good call on that last goofy steer, done that before & had to back trailer back up, Hope your cuts go the way you wanted, Great video

Don’t worry; I have done that with the gates. I also let the head gate open!
Be Safe
I really enjoyed this video Tyler. Thanks.
I hope you do well on your calves. The market has been really great.
Me too! Thanks
All looking good !! Be interesting to see the weights.
That steer picked the absolute worst day and time to act up! :) Jumpy steers make great hamburger!!

Hello FTR from cold Wisconsin. Great selection of calves . Always look forward to your videos. Thanks Jeff.
Good looking bunch to start the new year with!!
Tyler I was driving up I-5 yesterday morning from SoCal and saw a few signs on the side of the road of ranchers selling sides of beef. This might be a trend starting up, just have to get the consumer used to buying that much meat and meat that isn’t given food coloring.
Good choice on the wilk one!!!! You know you have to be careful wat you buy at the action!!!!!!!!! God Bless!!!!!!!!!!!
What a nice crop of young cattle you have this year
I know you’ve heard this a million times, but I love your muddied pawed dawg.
Also your footage is great, as usual. ❤

Happy New Year Tyler
Coming from Missouri. You got rain and we got snow. Always enjoy.
Pretty exciting to see it all come together.
Great video shot of the last calf loading
Hey Farmer Tyler Ranch, those are some good look calves! what about the bottle calves
I so think the red ones are the cutest
Good by Smokey and Littles, nice looking group. I thought you would have weighed them again.❤️🙏🏼
Good morning from Minnesota.
You'll do well on selling those calves, they are going for crazy prices now

Good boy.
Hi Tyler. Nice cows. 🐂 Stay safe. 👍😊
Thank you!
Good Morning FT 😊
Good morning!
Great video!
Nice. Lucky #18 😂. I love that you’re selective. Temperament is as important as conformation if not more so!
Thanks 😊
Can’t wait for your next video…… as usual 😊😊😊😊xx
Hi good morning Tyler from Indiana
Good morning!
Hello from Idaho. Loved your video ❤
They are in nice shape.
Did you gave the bottle calf a hug
Did you walk through the mud?..🤣🤣🤣cali is awesome..
Sounds like you need to get a bigger stock trailer because you have an one ton truck to it
Gooooooo Rivet....!!!!
That’s a good looking bunch of calf’s u should get a good price for them with the price of beef so high have a good day.
Very beutiful animals Mr. FTR
Good job
If you are around the Sacramento area I'm pretty sure my people will buy cow from you.
Hi there FTR from Australia. Can you tell us what the shot of Ivermectin is for ....... I'm guessing a worming treatment?
Do you have good buyers at the auction house? Can you make contact with buyers and sell direct and eliminate the auction and fees?
Cattle are pretty much at an all time high, having to sell individual cattle is a pain, a sale barn is more convenient
Gray job loading, single handed.. a man of a Many talented... and your learning, to save yourself work -headache later.
Do you watch your calves sell? Around here we have some crooked sale barns. If your not there watching they will shave the weights for their profit. Also, if you don’t like or need one of those heifers you can process her. She’ll eat as well as a steer👍🏻
That one steer got one chance and blew it. So off to the auction he goes. FTR didn't forgive.
#18 Heifer was right choice. She is nice.
If you had missed that steer, no doubt he would have been the first promoted to the freezer.
Love your channel, watch you all the time !!! Would love to see your wife and kids.
GOOD LUCK WITH THE SELLING AND WORKLOAD ✔
Do you know who sired the red steers? They look as good as Rivet’s silver offspring!
Surprised you didn't get weights on the ones that went to market. But maybe the extra time it would have taken might have made you miss your time window at the sale barn.
How far are you from LA were all the fires are your ground is still saturated
We are a little over 400 miles away from Los Angeles. Yeah we are still pretty wet up here
Tyler is north of Sacramento in northern CA.
I would like to have some of them heifers!
I heard with horses they call them proud cut...could steer be that too? Or he's just Nutty..LOL! Love your sarcasm!!!
Hi Tyler I been MIA just didn’t feel like watching any videos 1-9-2025❤
