Thanks for sharing, I didn't soak before boiling, just wash them and boil, once boils, off the fire and soak it until I want to use 1 hr later. So you will not wasting your time and gas. Boiled dried chili is much better than just soaking them that I have been doing for more than 50 years. Now, I always wash and boil then soak it .

One may be lucky and find like four, five out of six. I learned about Schezwan sauce last year. Today I felt lucky. I found schezwan sauce in the grocery. I thought maybe I should look for a recipe on TH-cam. All I need is to find me dried chilli. I will make a spicy cream sauce for my taco. It is taco weeks.

A family of mine made Schezwan rice. They make food and sell. So, I looked it up and now I can make my own sauce. I don't really like buying food because its expensive and the potions is very little. So, I prefer to make my own. Thank you very much.

I made this about a month ago- without any recipe... I think I did okay- this is not much different than how I did it I used 2 tbsp of brown sugar and did not use ginger I think I’ll use ginger next time ....God did my tiny apartment stink! tho making it^^
FYI - Aginamoto is not Chinese salt. It is monosodium glutamate, more commonly known as MSG, and often used in Japanese food products as a preservative and flavor enhancer.
