    Well detailed overview. Impressive scanner.
    The most impressive thing is the amount of effort went into the industrial design of the scanner. Their best design so far.

    Tracking seems much better in this scan than others you have uploaded. Also seems you have more targets "visible" at all times in this demo also.

      Yes, this is also a couple of years old; we have new models, newer software, more powerful computing, and we’ll be rolling out more videos soon, after launching our new site this week!

    Can I use for CNC Machined parts ?

    • @DigitizeDesigns
      @DigitizeDesigns  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rohitmac6178 Yes, the Scantech SimScan models can scan CNC machined parts effectively. These scanners are designed to capture high-precision data, which is crucial for inspecting and reverse engineering CNC machined components.
      Key Features of SimScan Models for CNC Machined Parts:
      1. High Accuracy: The SimScan 42 offers accuracy up to 0.02 mm, which is suitable for detailed and precise scanning required for CNC machined parts.
      2. Resolution: With a resolution of up to 0.02 mm, the SimScan models can capture fine details and complex geometries typically found in CNC machined parts.
      3. Portability and Flexibility: The compact and lightweight design allows for easy handling and scanning of parts in various orientations and positions, which is useful for inspecting parts directly on the machining floor or in confined spaces.
      4. Speed: The high scanning rate of up to 2.8 million measurements per second ensures that even large or complex parts can be scanned quickly without sacrificing detail.
      5. Surface Compatibility: The SimScan models are equipped to handle different surface types, including those with varying textures and finishes, which are common in CNC machined parts.
      Given these capabilities, the Scantech SimScan 42 and other models in the SimScan series are well-suited for scanning CNC machined parts, ensuring high precision and efficiency in capturing intricate details necessary for quality assurance and reverse engineering processes.

    Is this scanner or any of there other systems ISO 17025 Certified? If so is Scantech accredited or do the units go to a different lab? I can’t find any mention of it anywhere on there website.

    • @DigitizeDesigns
      @DigitizeDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scantech is still working getting their lab accredited, so we have an independent ISO 17025 lab certify the scanners currently.

    How would this unit go scanning environments, like 1 or 2 walls in a room or sections of large machinery?

    • @DigitizeDesigns
      @DigitizeDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would do great as long as it's not a huge room. General rule of thumb we use for part range is the size of a coin up to the size of a vehicle. It would do great for sections of large machinery - that's exactly what it's made for. If you want more info, reach out to us at info@digitizedesigns.com

    Do you know if Scantech or any vendors would rent out this scanner? I have some super rare movie props in my collection from the first Star Wars films that I'm not comfortable shipping or sending to a third party. I'd like to archive them digitally in case of a house fire or damage as they are quite old.

    • @DigitizeDesigns
      @DigitizeDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very cool! We do not rent out the equipment and I don't know of anyone that does unfortunately. We do offer 3D Scanning services though. You could either bring the parts to our facility and hang out while they're scanned, or we can come to you. If you're interested, shoot us an email at info@digitizedesigns.com

    We need to scan human head with fine details, which scanner model do you recommend?
    and thanks for the video

    • @bohelmrich4215
      @bohelmrich4215 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Simscan can be used for human head scanning, but typically we recommend a scanner that does not require targets for a scan like this. Depending on the Detail level needed, the Artec Leo or Artec Spider are typically the recommended scanners for this.

    will this work better than the creaform handyscan black on car parts?

    • @DigitizeDesigns
      @DigitizeDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would! It does great on dark and shiny parts, it gets deeper into holes and tight areas, and it’s 50% faster than the Handyscan Black Elite

    Man I haven't seen software use a security dongle in like 10 years at least.

    • @DigitizeDesigns
      @DigitizeDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Many of the softwares we sell and use have a dongle key. It’s still common practice so you can have one license but use the software on multiple computers with ease.

    • @DigitizeDesigns
      @DigitizeDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s crazy how small it is. It makes it so much more versatile and because it’s smaller and the cameras are closer, it can get much deeper into holes
