hm firs impression, looks pricey, sounds fuzzy, not sure about for what kind of music especially the distortion & gain structure is designed for 🤷♂..but its has a PRS logo so the sellings will go well here imo
So it's a really good clean amp and pedal platform. The distortion is very much closer to a fuzz which is great for classic rock and hair metal stuff. (Source - I have a Gen 1 50w Sonzera Combo)
I have to say that I've become a huge fan of matte finishes with flamed tops. I would have thought that with figured grain a gloss finish would be a must so that the figuring would be able to show, then i saw a PRS with a matte black gold (i think that's what it was) with a flamed top that had a lot of tight figuring, and it looked amazing. Firstly it looked like you could almost see it resonating, but the lack of glare that a glossy finish has made the flaming look three dimensional. I instinctively ran my fingers down the face of it half expecting to be able to feel the grain, which naturally i couldn't.
Seems like a good clean/crunch amp. Might have to check one out at the store. The Supro Royale or Black Magick I've been looking at might take the cake for me though. Great video Fluff 🤙🏼
I have the Black Magick and it rules. I would look for a used one. They have changed the speaker to a Jensen. Which doesn't sound nearly as good as the proprietary speaker. If you decide to change the speaker or add a 1x12 go with a Creamback. I've messed with a lot of stuff and that's my experience on the speakers. If an alcino Creamback is in your budget then absolutely go with that. I just have a regular one in an ext cab and it sounds great as well. The proprietary speaker is an Eminence British style speaker and is fantastic. They changed to Jensen after they got bought out. Even Keith Richards goes Celestion in his Tweed Twins.
It’s the worst amp to work on, pcb boards with everything under the boards. If you need a repair it’s going to be expensive. PRS will not give your tech the schematics, so expect to pay 2 or 3 times more than other amps.

Isn’t the clean/semi clean stuff the hardest to demo! I always feel full metal choad when I’m trying to think of things to play clean 🤓🤘🏻

So the distortion is more of a Rat/fuzz type on this...?! That's how it sounded out of my PC speakers.

The volume thing is how I feel about the MT15. I have to run a volume pedal in the loop to keep it under control.
