Cleans are beautiful. The gain channel sounds like there’s a wet blanket over the amp.
Maybe that can be tweaked with the tone stack but, it’s a bit too dark for me.

I had the previous version. Loved it, sounded great but it was very noisy and fizzy. I checked out a few others in store and they all sounded the same. At low volumes it was too noisy to to enjoy for me so I had to sell it. I hope they improve whatever caused that.

Wish they put this in a head. It is a solid contender. Nice chime cleans and has some grit! Don your playing is always tasteful.
Hope they fixed the noise issue that no one ever seemed to mention. Unusable in my opinion due to it
You mean that lous "POP" when you used the foot switch? Had to send mine back to PRS. To their credit they fixed it but they never put anything out about the issue. Mine could not have been the only one.

Clean channel is really nice but agree the overdrive channel is mucky.

PRS stuff up again imo. This amp has no mids or gain control on clean channel. And no overall master dial or variable wattage. And at 42 pounds weight it's too heavy for a 20w combo. Costs about same price as several modern Mesa amps and lacks many of their features.

What modern Mesas are you referring to? I don’t see any of them at $1,000. The closest is $1,500 and that’s a mini rectifier head.
Several modern Mesa’s? Not a single new Mesa tube combo at this price range.

It really is hard to listen to the amp characteristics when the guitar being used is so out of tune and intonation. I was happy when you switched guitars. But not when you switched back. Not a bad amp.
