For a community extremely fixated on smallest details on their weapons, this is gonna affect knife prices a lot. Even a tiny change to animation is enough to tip the scales. My guess is that vanilla knife look is going to be ludicrous as they reflect (pun intended) new graphics a lot.
yeah, my battle scarred knife doesn't look that bad, hopefully they don't add a nice rusty coat.

I couldn't imagine paying real money and lots of it at that, for a digital item in a video game. I just can't comprehend it. They very thought of it makes me physically recoil.
The new knife Kukri is actually in the game files but it's not spawnable yet

It's probably for Danger Zone... although it can't be ruled out that it's within the CS2 game in general... as well as serving as a reference to TF2 (although the Kukrit is from India and is a real weapon that is used in various parts of the world although it is not as well known as other bladed weapons, such as the Karambit) it also serves as the base comp for TF2 itself in the future, if you want to experience TF2 in Source 2 of course... it is one small important step at a time.

@@yungzed I just recently checked the lowest knife prices, I was extremely surprised, and even mentioned the 30$ gut knife to my friends
i used to own vanilla butterfly around 2015 i sold it to buy new games for around 100 AUD i quit csgo for a while and when i came back um the price for it was like 2000 AUD i was so shocked.

they seem to have changed the inspect animation for the Shadow Daggers to a newer, faster one. I thought they just sped up the old one but this has slightly different angles. makes sense though, cause they've reportedly (and finally) given the SDs some love and fixed the screen shake. I'm happy either way, I've always been a SD appreciator, but this feels nice. New sounds on the right click too, it seems.

Take advantage of this. Have Valve make the player model animations consistent with what we're seeing in the viewmodels. The Karambit for instance is being held in the wrong way in thirdperson world view, so they should make them look like they're holding it in first person view.
The 3rd person karambit thing is on purpose, as it could give you a competitive disadvantage when your knife sticks out (around a corner for example) when it otherwise wouldn't because you have a different knife.

That honestly kills the knife imo. No point in getting gloves with that knife. I noticed that when i had both I had to switch knives. And i really liked the bowie. If it was two hands it would be one of the best.

I traded a bayonet scorched and some $50 gloves for a bowie doppler the day before CS2 was announced, managed to snag a $300 AUD profit just by having a doppler, as doppler prices have skyrocketed

Finally the wonky ass arm animation for the bayonet that has existed since the launch of the knife has been fixed.

I saw in the patch notes it says "Fixed rare inspect animations to be rare and not every animation." does that mean for inspecting the knife or taking the knife out? If skeleton knife has the rare animation every time then I wanna get one for sure.
