Survival Knife fade looks SO shiny
They need to fix the Damascus Steel they need their shine back. Karambit Damascus Steel is one of the most underrated knives
The the top part of the handle closest to the blade on the karambit is SOOO much better in CS2. Always hated how on csgo it looks like some graphic glitch and not thin, close lines on the grip.
I think sapphire's look better in CS2, they actually look like Sapphires now instead of something purple, it differentiates them from Black Pearls a bit more too, so there's not 2 purple patterns.

i know valve are focusing on gameplay and bugs at the moment but i hope (and believe) there will be valve employees out there that care about skins and everything to watch this video and others and take notes of what the community wants. ty

The reason why the knives are different colors is becuse Source 2 supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) Colors on shaders where as og CSGO does not have that level of sophistication. For them to replicate the colors from CSGO, they would need to redo all the textures again with a different color hex.
so whats the point of adding a visual lighting feature if you wont update the thing that renders that feature useless....
they will update the skins that dont seem good (the ones that people care about anyway)
edit: (ik hdr helps with not just the skins, but in reality most people only care to make visuals better because of cosmetics)
@@asm7069 Well, would you want to go through the tens of thousands of skin textures, meticulously changing every pixel to color match with the original csgo? I didn't think so... Especially when valve doesn't profit from resold skins (at least not from sales on third party marketplaces, which make up the vast majority of the resale market).
talking about the rubies. It probably makes more sense that you get a more orange glow in the sun.
Because that is more realistic lighting to it just being red. Red is the lowest on the spectrum, and becomes more orange when light gets reflected of it.
since doppler is a kind of crystal like skin it would make sense.

It seemed like he was hitting the Falchion knife’s rare animation quite often on cs2 version. I wonder if just coincidence or if it will have increased odds in cs2 🤔 I really hope they do increase the odds for it. Falchion so underrated
That would be cool, unfortunately I think They specifically made a point that they want to keep rare animations 1/100
Increasing the odds for that animation would make it worse in my opinion cause i like the spin spam. But it seems like they actually improved the falchion by removing the uggly right click animation when knifing the air. Instead it always plays the superior hit animation.

Yeah I noticed, but I think its just a server setting/console command, because on the csgo surf and trading servers I frequent, rare animations pop about 50% of the time

i believe shadow doesnt show because shadow represents a server image and to other players you don't inspect your knife since it's just you seeing it. Which in it of itself I believe should be changed if you're inspecting it should show to the whole server. Note: If they added this it would probably add weird hitboxes like with awps aks blocking vision from opposing players and or increasing a hitbox of the player using
just replying to your "Note".
Imagine they actually did that. People would inspect the AK while pushing to have the AK itself be infront of your face/upper body.

I got a m9 bayo tiger tooth and was really woried it might look like poop in cs2 (in the dark it looks like old crusty mustard in csgo) glad to see that it basically always looks gold in the dark and you can see the stripes in the light

Crimson web looks beautiful.. idk what you’re talking about. Said the lines were pungent. Do they smell bad? Prominent lines are what make it a crimson “web”. I mean it should be wine red or crimson, but it still looks spectacular

Massive counter argument, the dopplers and gamma dopplers all look like they are actually made of crystals or gems instead of being spray painted with cool glittery paint. they look like knives made out of the material instead of metal coated in it, so much cooler to stab a man with a crystal m9 than metal m9.

karambit gamma doppler phase 2 was my favorite knife in csgo but in cs 2 the green got taken away almost compleatly if you want a green gamma doppler you have to buy the emerald and that is kind bad in my eyes

the damascus steel "change" i literally dont get. its a skin which is supposed to represent one of the coolest looking real life blade-making arts that exist, and it just looks terrible. just look at how a nice real world damascus blade looks... this makes me so sad; it would probably be my favourite finish if they would make it look more realistic. (just make the bright parts shine like a vanilla, with the dark parts having no shine)
hoping the ruby is a little less orangey in bright light as well... doubt they'll change it though

Basically dopplers , fades , and defaults got massive boosts, while other stayed pretty much the same.
This is beta, think most skins will be improved
And animations, they better make some sense
Please help me, I have a flip knife tiger tooth FN and a glove Overtake with the special float (0.15). The price of the flip knife rise a lot and now I can sell it to buy a butterfly (as boreal forest or ddpat FT) or I can sell 2 of mine for a higher butterfly as Stained MW. Should I sell to buy or hold for the flip knife hype again? Because its price is going down right now?

They are only remastering groups of skins at a time, and going by community favorites first. Also all the shadow daggers look dull, like their lighting actuation angle is scuffed
