Gwynllian Stewart That have slits by the glass eyes from Wich you can see through. That's how most with glass eyes are made. The slits are covered in a color of the fur so you don't see them.
Im making my own. You can buy foam, and mabey go to the library and print out a free pattern for whatever animal your OC/Fursona is. And later on buy fur cause the foam is kinda expensive 😅
@@aceconley6280 for me foam wasnt that expensive, i found a massive piece of foam and you could probably do whatever you wanted with it and make loads of things and it was pretty cheap, maybe only about £10-£15, just gotta look around lol
Your furry suit or rather head look special and beautiful, it’s simple yet amaizing, while 60% of people with furrysuit look the same, just over colored furr and face also look the same, i see this mostly in wolfs.
Im also in the middle of making my own fursuit. One thing that I have learned is that hot glue melts styrofoam, so be careful if you are using a styrofoam manikin head to hold up your head base.
@० _•Tic•Tac•Toe•_ ० Stitching is very difficult @-@ If it's something you want to do, then do your best! One day you very well might be selling suits. As for me being famous, absolutely not XD But thanks for assuming so, it was amusing. You also seem nice, so thank you for your kindness.
It can take even longer if you make bases from scratch... But I can't blame anyone for using them! Though, new makers probably aren't willing to spend the money they take for bases alone... It makes sense with the price, but especially for us with only part time work... Not so easy. But hey. Staples can 3D print patterns, and there's one dude on Thingiverse that has some pretty nice ones that you just need to scale up.
Since resin heads have a big gap where the jaw opens, do you just put the fur straight over it and leave the gap underneath If that makes sense)? I'm looking into getting a resin blank to work from but I'm unsure on how to go about furring that little bit.
Quick question regarding when you cut the fur from the yard (or whatever measurement was bought) Do you have to change the direction of the fur where where the fur is flowing in the direction of the scissors or away from the scissors? That sounds confusing.. but I hope you get it and could answer soon. It's just regarding the cutting and if the direction of the fur affects what gets cut. Thanks!
Hi there, hopefully you can reply. Thank you so much for posting this video it helps a lot. I'm on my 7th head however. And I can never get my pieces to fit just right. Do you mark seam allowance when you draw pieces onto the fur? How do you make your fur fit together so well in the end? Thank so much again!
oh my O.O This was so relaxing to watch You're awesome! Are you a profesional Suit maker or something? How much was the material you used, and how much wuold the final product be? (Just the Head)
If you wanna make a fursuit. you can get all the materials online, and there's lots of youtube tutorials :) My recommendations are DreamVision Creations, (they have all the solid stuff you need such as teeth, resin eye blanks, resin or foam head blanks - the one she used here was a hinged resin head, jawsets, etc. and they have tutorials on how to install their parts), Joann Fabrics for the foam, polyfill and thread, and Fabric.com for the furs, my recommendation is Luxury Shag. It will definitely take time, probably a few months for your first suit, but it's such an awesome sense of accomplishment when you finish it! And you could suit at a mall or park or something, and give people something to see they've never seen before! Although, remember to call ahead to make sure you can wear a mask, some places don't allow that for security reasons. Best bet would be around Halloween for your first time. :)
DancingWithCandy where can I buy or get one of those resin heads? The ones I find don't have a good snap on strap backing like that. Or, if there is a TH-cam video that shows how to make them, that will work to. If you make them, can you make a video on how if you haven't already?
How long did this take irl? What kind of stitch did you use? How many yards of fur did you use for this? (Trying to make my own so sorry for so many questions)
what did you outline the fur with like what was the stuff that was put onto the head and sketched on the fur because rn imtrying to fur my head but im using the plastic wraap and duck tape
Da Lil Twinzz you basically tape the whole head, draw the pattern on the tape, cut it and take it off the head, then you have to cut some slits on the pattern to make it flat, use it as a mold on the fur, sew everything together untill it fits the head like a glove, glue to the head carefully and its done!
The video begins with cutting out pattern pieces, but there is no indication as to how these shapes were arrived at. This seems to me the most important aspect of furring out a head.
wonderfull craftmanship. Very happy that you took him in :)
Aliuros he is so KAWAII!! X3 i love how he looks!
Thanks
Odd question but im still a bit new ~
The eyes, are they just see through glass or do you know???
Gwynllian Stewart That have slits by the glass eyes from Wich you can see through. That's how most with glass eyes are made. The slits are covered in a color of the fur so you don't see them.
Gwynllian Stewart the black next to the eye is mesh you can see through, very limited vision with realistic eyes.
man that must take patience. wish I had a fursuit! xD
Me too, but you don't need a fursuit to be a furry though.
@@jelloknife4116 there expensive
i buy a base and fur and ears then hot glue gun an other stuff and i have a fursuit head

Wow you do all hand made, impressive :3
OMG! That suit is so good! You did a amazing job on the fur, eyes, head shape and everything! I hope someday I can become a good fursuit maker like you.

Is there something wrong with that? Or are you just saying it because you noticed it

Hi! I was wondering what you used to make this? It looks beautiful!
Also are you taking commissions?
All hand sewn? Wow! :oo
I've been in the process of making my own full-suit. Any tips?

I've always wondered, is it better to buy already short fur, or to trim? Does one look better than the other?
And u dont need to buy other fur when u can buy just long fur and trim and u can choose how fluffy it's going to be like ShAdOwNoLi said

How in the hell did you add the whiskers! I didn't even think of adding them to my head but now
Great job.. :-)
were i can buy the base??? i'm livin in México
I made my fursuit without the head but it looks great
hi : ) I was wondering where you got the resin base from, did you cast it yourself or did you buy it from someone?
From DreamVisionCreations.
So actually furring is sowing everything together and glue it on?
Da Lil Twinzz you basically tape the whole head, draw the pattern on the tape, cut it and take it off the head, then you have to cut some slits on the pattern to make it flat, use it as a mold on the fur, sew everything together untill it fits the head like a glove, glue to the head carefully and its done!

How do you stick the duck tape to a poly foam base though because I’m scared it will reck the foam
Banner wolf Furry It wont. That's what I thought would happen too, but when I did it with mine, there were no visible damages.
Plus it peels off rather easily once you got your patterns cut out
good job

dose it have moveable jaw?
