- The original duration of this footage was 10 hours!
The making of (assembly) of a white wolf head. All of the components were already cast/sewn when I started making this, and footage was cut during transitions, cure/dry time, ventures to other work stations (airbrushing), and certain cleanup tasks. The total work time to put together a mask like this is at least 24 work hours (that's still not counting cure/dry time, transitions and cleanup).

The head fur is from one single piece of fur....I'm just....wow, I'm sitting here sewing days on one freaking head and then this, one of my favourite makers ever do this....good job

It's taken a lot of time to acquire all of my favorite tools! Also this video doesn't accurately display the true humbleness of this current workspace.

Wow, i'm surprised by how many times you go back to shave and snip its fur! I'm in the process of making my first suit and already have a lot to work on for next time, but seeing your process really helps to understand how much detail work is needed to make such finely crafted masks. I'm also so interested by the way you glue the fur on. Is that chin strip just glued on and not sewn to the rest of the face?

Jester Hyhuahua actually you plaster fur on resin :D that's what most fursuits are made of, then you got all the details after that
Resin is plastic.
Who's your fur supplier? I absolutely adore the quality
Douglas... Clockwork creature only works with the highest quality materials hence the price for their costumes being in the thousands (but completely worth the money) so its safe to assume the fur used here is of very high quality.

Seeing your bases from 8 years ago to now is simply mindblowing. The huge leaps in quality alone, but the eye for detail and the care for durability is amazing.

I have watched this a few times and it still baffles me how you fur with just one piece! must have taken a while to master that! an absolute pleasure to watch and something I hope one day I could perhaps incorporate into my own mask making!

I am going to make a film based on a book I am writing called The Wolfs Paw. Is there any way you could make an animatronic head for the film with moving nose/snout/lips, eyebrows, eyelids and ears?
Also assuming it's over $3600 how much would it cost me to commission this?

So I have a question, if you wouldn't mind answering. Although I am only sixteen, I am saving up for a very big deal fursuit, and I kinda have my eyes on you. It's going to take me a year or two to save up, as I'm not very good at making money. But on topic of the suits. I have a realistic wolf head I got from Sarahcat, and I believe it is too big for me. When I wear it, I see out of the tear ducts, but they press against my eyes in an odd way. And whenever the mouth closes, the springs and jawset make a very loud clanking noise. I'm hesitant to get another resin head because of this, but it may just be because of how that one was made. How comfortable would you say your heads are as far as resin goes? I was also wondering how your artistic liberty option works, if you still do that. Thank you!

wait wtf im sitting here putting duck tape on my resin blank to make the patteren and not knowing what to do next im sooo lost and the i see you just hot glue one peace of fur straight onto it annnd im like omfg soo much waist-ed fucking tape T-T
cataleena martinez lol that's only because it has no pattern but if you have a pattern and you've already duct taped it you just cut the pieces of fur in the right shape then hot glue it on or you could sew all the pieces together and put it on the head like a glove then hot glue it around the edges 👍

Not much different to how actual taxidermy is done, except they would use an animal skin instead of synthetic fur.
