So realistic! I LOVE IT! But I personally wouldn’t make the paw pads so full and big because it will limit your sense of grabbing...you know what I mean
@@EnderPlaysMinecraft thank you so much for the pdf as well! Im definately a visual learner but it was so helpful to have each step written out too! i have little sewing experience and i didnt expect much and yet they look clean and i learned a lot too! i can't imagine how long it took to get this all perfect haha, thank you again!💜
Can’t wait to get started on making my paws!!!!💕 I was going to commission a person at first because I couldn’t find a good video but now I did and i am so happy 😁
I'm so glad you can make use of this video to make your own paws!!! It's such an awesome learning experience to do it yourself!! If you get stuck at any point, remember that the PDF tutorial is linked in the description of this video and that's got a tonne more details in for you ^_^
If you still look at these comments could you answer these questions. I was just wondering if you know any other materials I can use for the paw pads? Also you did an Amazing job on these paws!
Of course! I look at every comment ^_^ I used a minky fabric for the pads in this tutorial but you could also use any sort of fleece! Fleece is extra soft as well so it's perfect for paw pads! Otherwise you could totally experiment with vinyl! I haven't used vinyl for these paws but I have a feeling if you did test runs on vinyl pads, the outcome for a pair of paws would look fantastic! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my video!!
Hey!! Practice is amazing!! I've learnt so much (and failed at so much) over the past three years but it's all in the name of learning. As long as you've learnt something, nothing is a complete waste of time! Keep at it - you'll find they get easier to make the more you make! :P
I'm using this tutorial for my second pair of paws i absolutely love these!! I would like to know where you get your fabric it looks absolutely beautiful and very high quality!
Thank you so much!! I get most of my fabric via Fabric.com or Mendels, as well as Spotlight and Lincraft which are both local Australian fabric shops ^_^
Aaaahh thanks for this! I have a book week dress up day coming up in a few days so I decided to get started on my first fursuit! (Partial) The head looks like a thousand trapped souls screaming in pain but oh well Anyway i was having difficulty with the paw shape so thank you so much for making this tutorial!
Comet Fursuits You're welcome! I honestly think this is the best puffy paw tutorial there is! I've been trying to find a couple of tutorials to help me along making my own fursuit, (after several years of "I'll get to it") and this was by far the best tutorial I've seen yet. Everything was at the right angle and you explained everything in full detail, even if they were just photos? I'm a very visual learner, so this was super helpful to me!
I'm grateful to hear that!! If you need any more help or questions answered, remember there's the PDF version of the tutorial in the description of this video. It explains things in more detail and I think it's a great learning tool to use as well ^_^
Make more these tutorials they are awesome, i am a begginer maker and these tutorials help me so much and also i subbed to this channel your amazing....PS I want to be a maker like you some day.
Hey that's awesome to hear!!! I'll definitely be making more of these tutorials in the future; I'm so glad that people are being able to make use of them!! Thank you so much for subbing, I appreciate it so much and I can't wait to see where your own fursuit making experiences will take you!!!
I working on some paws a tail and a head right now and hearing this comment is like having 8 billion cups a coffee with extra sugar thank you...YOU DISERVE MORE SUBSRIBERS!!!!!!!!
It takes practice but I've found if you try hard enough you can pick up larger objects like your phone or water bottle, etc. But you're fighting a losing battle if you're trying to pick up a pen or anything :') Thank you for taking the time to watch my video!!!
How do you not have more followers there's are beautiful! Edit: instead of mink could I use crushed velvet? Edit: how thick should the upholstery foam be for the top?
This tutorial was fantastic! Such a help! Thankyou! One thing confused me though! How do the fingers stay puffed up? Is the foam in there or does it just stay up?
These are really interesting paws! I’ve never seen any like these before I like them ^^ I bet it will be hard to pick things up with those on though :’3
Ooooo! I really like the paw pads on this! Im making my own fursuit rn and do you make heads? If so what razor do you use to shave them? I dont have any razors that will work because the one i tried was to weak for the fur ;0
Hiya!! I do make heads!! Check out my facebook page - facebook.com/cometfursuits to see my work. I went to my local pet store and bought a Wahl KM2 speed clippers and they work so much better than my last pair (I was using a pair of $10 human clippers beforehand) because they're designed to work better on fur. It'll take a little while to get used to them but when you do, you'll get a super clean shave. They did cost quite a lot though, keep that in mind. I spent $300 AUD on my pair but it's seriously worth it
Hey there! Thank you for taking the time to look at my tutorial!! I'm contemplating creating a patreon account to sell the pattern. Although I do not currently make or sell any of my patterns, I do take commissions for these paws :) Check out my facebook page at facebook.com/cometfursuits if you're interested, otherwise keep an eye out for if/when I do release the pattern!
These are gorgeous. I'm especially impressed with the fine details and how you drafted the pads. They have so much depth! I checked out your PDF, but I have one question - once you've put the pieces together, is there any "filling" in the toes themselves? (EG, is the foam just for drafting, but not actually in the paw afterward? And is there polyfill or anything in there instead, or are the toes just "empty"?)
Thank you for taking the time to look over my tutorial and PDF!! Yes the foam is just for drafting, they're actually filled with polyfil stuffing to hold their shape :)
Thank you for the prompt reply! I’m super impressed with the professional level of your skills and also delighted by your kindness in sharing the tutorial and answering questions. :) this was so helpful! I figured there must be a bit of polyfill in there. Thanks again!
Sorry to bother you, but is there a PDF pattern that you used for this? Did you use a custom pattern or did you find one online? I'm having trouble creating my own, and was wondering if there was an easier way to do this.
You're no trouble! I created my own pattern from scratch by carving the foam and taping it up with duct tape. Unfortunately I don't give out my pattern as I prefer for people to interpret this tutorial in their own unique style :) Keep at it, this isn't something that you master on the first go!
Heya! I can't give you an accurate quote here but my partial suits start around $1000 Australian Dollars Head over to facebook.com/cometfursuits/ and give us a message with your reference sheet if you'd like a more accurate quote :)
Sorry, but can h please tell me where u get the foam and fur because I'm planning to make a suit. If its a site plz comment link Sorry I'm rlly bad at buying materials!also new sub!
The foam is solely used to pattern the shape of the fingers and the pads. I stuff the fingers with polyfil before I sew the cuff of the lining shut and finish the paws :)

How did you turn the claws right side out? I've used a material with a similar backing before and it was very difficult to do so without damaging the fabric.
I used the point of a knitting needle to poke them the right way around :) The fabric is difficult to work with, I definitely recommend hand sewing claws if you're using that kind of fabric and use something with a semi-blunt point (like a knitting needle) and push along the seams so you don't damage the claw
Heya.. Unfortunately I don't provide the pattern for this as I believe that you should develop your own style and take on my tutorial.. I hope you understand, thank you for checking out my tutorial!!!
Hiya! I charge a fee of $400 AUD flat rate, regardless of complexity or colours :) If you live outside of Australia, shipping is just $25 AUD, inside Australia shipping is free.
Sewing is the preferred method because you can guarantee the quality if you know how well you've stitched each part of the paw. Gluing can get a little messy and tricky and there's always the risk of parts being torn apart or separated altogether. I'd highly suggest sticking to sewing, I know it takes a long time but it's seriously worth it for the end result!
Yes of course you can use whatever fabric you please! Fur hides the seams better but if you wanted to use Minky or polar fleece I don't see a problem! This test paw and most of the paw commissions I've done have been almost completely hand sewn so yes, hand sewing will definitely pan out C:
You'll want to use tape to get the pattern shape, as it's not a flat pad. I find duct tape works best although you can use sticky tape too but avoid masking tape as that gets messy and complicated
These are custom made to match your character. Check out: facebook.com/cometfursuits/ send us a message with your ref sheet if you're really interested! Puffy paws are a flat $400 AUD and paws with flat pads are $300 AUD
Thank you so so much I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my video!!! I will definitely be making more tutorials in the future - stay tuned and thanks for the sub!
Hmmm I know it's a rather large document so it wont give you a preview but it should download alright.. :( I just checked my end and everything seems to be working fine, the document is still there.. perhaps try again? let me know if it works or not
Such puffy pawpads! Great tutorial, saving this to my tutorial list!

I like your list
These are absolutely amazing
So realistic! I LOVE IT!
But I personally wouldn’t make the paw pads so full and big because it will limit your sense of grabbing...you know what I mean
THank you!! Yep it definitely limits you but it's soooo worth it to slap people in the face!!
Yah! Just a face full of fur and foam... how comfortable would that be?
Surprisingly comfortable, for both the wearer and the person being slapped
if ur talking abt what i think ur talkin abt-
Looks SUPER realistic
By far the best tutorial I've seen for pawpads. Not too complicated and easy to understand and follow!

This tutorial was fantastic! Such a help! Thankyou! One thing confused me though! How do the fingers stay puffed up? Is the foam in there or does it just stay up?
Heya! The foam was just used for making the pattern; the fingers are kept puffy with polyfil or toy stuffing :)

If I bought these (which I can’t) I would sell them for a million dollars cus THERE LEGIT

Not really :') You can grab some bigger objects like waterbottles but you can't really feel anything
They're GREAT for slapping people tho!!
Comet Fursuits lol! I would love to be the victim of a slap like that. May I ask what fur you used in this? I love the look of it
Soooooooooooo cuteeeeee!
How much would it cost for a husky goat partial?
He has 5 colours and horns and hooves for his feet.

EEEEEEEE SQUISHY TOE BEANSSSSSSSSSS. I want them ;w;
Sorry, but can h please tell me where u get the foam and fur because I'm planning to make a suit. If its a site plz comment link
Sorry I'm rlly bad at buying materials!also new sub!
*G O D T I E R*
Were oposites cuz your more used color is blue and thats my paw pad color pink is your secondary color is pink and pink is my main
But how to make templates for paws?
Was the foam still inserted inside the paw afterwards?
So do you just slide the foam back into the finger tips after everything is sewn together or before the lining?
The foam is solely used to pattern the shape of the fingers and the pads. I stuff the fingers with polyfil before I sew the cuff of the lining shut and finish the paws :)
I want these so bloody bad. Can I check your prices? For my fursona her paws are all black with red paw pads.
Heya!! I'd be happy to converse with you over facebook if you'd like a quote (I currently don't have set prices but my quotes are fair and my quality is amazing) Send me a message at facebook.com/cometfursuits or I have Telegram @ValkyrieHound
How did you turn the claws right side out? I've used a material with a similar backing before and it was very difficult to do so without damaging the fabric.

@@EnderPlaysMinecraft Thank you, this will help me very much in the future.
Amazing!!😰😰😰
They look like my cats paws??
What did you use to make the form for the pads in the beginning? Is it foam?
Yes it is foam :)
Looks great but tbh you did it the hardest way possible.
How do you mean? I'd love any tips and advice you have to offer!!
I want to slap someone with paws like this X3
Believe me, we've tried! It's an amazing feeling!
Cute 😽🐾😻
Hello fellow fur friend!! Thank ye kindly!
Do you still have the pattern and couldb share them? It'd make work a bit easier x3
Thanks for the tutorial!
Heya.. Unfortunately I don't provide the pattern for this as I believe that you should develop your own style and take on my tutorial.. I hope you understand, thank you for checking out my tutorial!!!
Hello! I️ tried your Facebook page but I️ couldn’t find fursuit part prices. What’s your average for a wrist length puff paw?
Hiya! I charge a fee of $400 AUD flat rate, regardless of complexity or colours :) If you live outside of Australia, shipping is just $25 AUD, inside Australia shipping is free.
I just got mine online. Making them is fun but too much work.
OH and is there another method instead of sewing that you know of? Like glue?
Sewing is the preferred method because you can guarantee the quality if you know how well you've stitched each part of the paw. Gluing can get a little messy and tricky and there's always the risk of parts being torn apart or separated altogether. I'd highly suggest sticking to sewing, I know it takes a long time but it's seriously worth it for the end result!
Can someone tell me,, if its ok to use just fabric instead of fur. Also, would hand sewing pan out?
Yes of course you can use whatever fabric you please! Fur hides the seams better but if you wanted to use Minky or polar fleece I don't see a problem! This test paw and most of the paw commissions I've done have been almost completely hand sewn so yes, hand sewing will definitely pan out C:
Thank you!! :D
Is there other tape we can use? Also,do we have to use tape?
You'll want to use tape to get the pattern shape, as it's not a flat pad. I find duct tape works best although you can use sticky tape too but avoid masking tape as that gets messy and complicated
So much worrrk
But sooo worth the effort!!!
Wish I could buy them, but no money ;-;
:0 what if the paw has more than 1 color in fur???
Just cut the pattern so you can pattern the different colours of fur separately ^_^
*the puff is real*

The music sucked but the tutorial was amazing like AMAZING
Do you hand- or machine sew?
For these paws, I hand sew about 75% of them, the other 25% is machine sewn
