Lyric:
Hey Jude don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Hey Jude don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
And any time you feel the pain,
Hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world
upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool
who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Na na na na na
na na na na
Hey Jude don't let me down
You have found her now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Na na na na na...
Jude, hey Jude, hey Jude, hey Jude, hey Jude, hey Jude, hey...
Na na na na na... - เพลง
It's so moving when Jude's mother harmonizes at 2:16.
That part makes me tear up for sure ,super touching ❤
This movie isn't just a brilliant musical of the Beatles' greatest songs; it's a wonderful examination at the 60's: the good with the bad, the war with the counterculture movement. I almost feel like it should be used in history class.
Ligit
True
Get this: my 10th grade history teacher had us watch "Forrest Gump" as an examination of the 1960s. Wish they had us watch this instead
It should. I was there. It was like this. I’ll never forget Kent State.
@@barneychill4547 my 10th grade history teacher played us Forrest Gump AND this movie, both staples of my childhood. I got super lucky. He was a cool guy
Gonna be honest, I feel this is a better love letter to the Beatles than _Yesterday_ ever will be.
Yes this is true seeing as yesterday is about a man who sees the opportunity to rip of the beatles for whatever reason, as in Across the Universe they make a story out of paul john george, and ringos songs, very beautiful.
@Brendan Milburn Ive never seen Yesterday, but how dare you say this movie has a bad story.
Yes yes yes!
Oh but yesterday day was hilarious!!! Hey Dude…
Yesterday wasn't even trying.
The first time I watched this movie I was NOT prepared for how moving it was.
what was moving, the story or-the way they paid tribute to the Beatles?
The way they paid tribute to the Beatles and Vietnam I guess
Elliott Walker i know right. I watched it in like 1st grade (my mom loved musicals) and i cried.
I agree with you Elliott! Very moving..
+Norman Bates' Sexual Frustrations lol :)
honestly, this movie was so underrated
Edit: still underrated
Agreed
+It'sAlexForShort So true, I remember having the worst time in my life in a little place you will never know the name, losing many of my friends, and marine managed to get us internet, and this is what we watched... When ever I think about the bad I did, this good moment creeps in, and I focus on it. Great movie... Keeps me alive, if you can believe that.
Loved that my music teacher put this movie on :) love it
Thought the Same thing while watching the Movie. It totally didnt deserved to be on at 3:14 in the morning. Such a great Movie!
Dude because only people stay up til 3AM get it
Not even gonna lie. This literally my favorite part of the movie. My little cousin name is Jude and his mom showed him this song and now anytime you ask him to sing his song he sings this song. It’s adorable
awwww that's adorable
Yes child
Awwwwwwww
He's going to need this as he grows up and when life starts getting hard for him, least he'll have this song to comfort him ❤
"You don't look too messed up."
"Yeah because everything below the neck works fine."
Brilliant movie♥
I can't believe Joe Anderson had never sung before this movie...his voice is pure heaven.
Auto-tune to hell
@@anubisizzy There’s a video of him singing in a rehearsal for the movie and he sounded wonderful
Anyone else get way more excited about Max and Jude reuniting than Jude and Lucy?
Liz Crowell i was expecting them to kiss when i watched it lol
Me 2
I was soo happy when max and jude saw eachother but when jude saw lucy ehh max was better
yeah, i did
Yes wayyyyyy more excited! I'm almost yelling for them every time I see the scene Hahaha 😂
Easily one of the greatest songs of all time.
And in a bit of irony, for all Beatles fans who don't care much for Yoko, this song wouldn't exist without her.
I was all tears with this song. Their friendship is awesome and Max trying to cheer Jude up is just what friends are for.
JUUUDEY JUDEH JUDY JUDY JUDY JU--YEAH!
Sarlly AndTwins fave part of the song
Sarlly AndTwins Best part of the whole song! It makes me laugh every time!
I need a friend who gets that excited to see me 😂😂
actually me
I was crying. When his mom singing the 2nd Voice. This song was the Best !
Thank you Sir Paul Mccartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.
thank you sir Paul Mccartney. You can end it there
Mmhmm i love the Beatles
I love that part 😭
His mom was stalking him throughout the house and outside
I have sung this for my little one since birth... 2 years later she's finally singing the na na na na part with me!! ^.^ proud mama moment.
I love that Jude and Max's friendship is as important in the film as Jude's relationship with Lucy.
Jude: You don't look you messed up
Max: Yeah well everything below the neck works fine.
I thought that was pretty funny and yet sad at the same time
Chris Lucas I ddin't understand that when I was 15 I don't understand it now. Please I've always wondered.
Ahh thanks. I did think that at one point but then thought it would be the "heart" that would be mentioned.
He suffered a head injury
Bit that doesn't happen don't you know! Seeing someone shot and killed in front of you is so not the same! (Sarcasm)
He got rly mental problems because od the drugs but also for the things he saw in the war, it changed him.
This movie is an inspiration! I've shown it to so many people who had heard the songs but never realized the history behind the music. The Beatles will never die.
Before Yesterday, there was across the universe.
This was 10× better
That's a quote
The song came out after
Yeah
They’re both just love letters to the Beatles. It’s ok for them to co-exist Bc they’re both enjoyable films about the band we all love
How they included "Hey judey judey judey judey" was genius.
I saw this movie for the first time in my philosophy class during my senior year of high school. At the time, I was obsessed with the Beatles. Since then my musical taste has expanded. However, this movie never fails to remind me why I fell in love with music. Long live The Beatles.
Hey Jude is my favorite song by the Beatles
this movie changed my life
no
yes
LMAO
This movie change my life too
Beautiful version! And Joe Anderson is such a brilliant actor.
Sandy V If he performed as well as he did in this movie in all of his movies I'd say he was a genius actor.
LouciousDark well, that's definitely the case.
trashcan man was fuckin tearing it up xD
Literal Wicker Chair yassssss
NIGHTMARE j
one of the best movie i ever watched. amazing
watch : Almost famous. you will probaly like that movie too
+domidove thx. im gonna download it ;)
+Yamilka Lopez okay cool
yup one of my most fav movies
I love it when Max and Jude's mom harmonize. It sounds so amazing!
Are the characters supposed to represent famous people? Max being Kurt Cobain, Jojo being Jimi Hendrix, Jude being Paul Mcartney, Sadie maybe Janis Joplin....? I don't know I always just kinda got that impression....
I actually kinda see that
Max definitely looks/sounds like Kurt but it doesn't fit the time period. Max is just a character based on the Beatles song, "Maxwell's Silver Hammer".
They're all named after characters in Beatles' songs.
They are all correct apart from Max being Kurt. Judy Traymor, the director, specifically created Sadie and Jo-Jo with Jimi and Janis in mind!
They sure are! W the exception of Max. Not to mention his character never implies a shotgun in the mouth. Depression maybe but hell it was Vietnam he’d just gotten home from.
That moment when you've watched Across The Universe a ton of times but just now realize that each character is named after people in Beatles songs....
Jude- Hey Jude
Max- Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Lucy-Lucy in the Sky with 💎
Sadie-Sexy Sadie
Jo-jo- Get Back
Prudence-Dear Prudence
I mean, obviously i picked up on Jude and Prudence, but it took me 3 times watching this to realize literally every character has a "Beatle name" 😂 anyone else?
Yeah me too 😂
Martha- Jude's mother
Julia - Lucy's sister
Rita - Prudence's girlfriend
Molly - Jude's girlfriend
Did you get the "she came in through the bathroom window" joke?
@@jameshollestelle3396 i was the only one in the theater to laugh.
Whenever I'm in a bad mood or feel like I'm about to cry, I always play this song. It makes me feel so much better. Beautifully put together honestly.
Really? I'd keep sobbing haha. This song gets me in the feels
This was one of my favorite parts of the movie, not just because of the singing, but anytime you have a movie where you have a group of such great friends that get separated & then back together, it's always a good part
This movie is amazing
Finally got around to watching. This scene moved me to tears, held it in. Reminds me so much of how much life can offer/could be and still can be.
I sang this song to my best friend when he broke up with his girl. After that things were never same lol....needless say never attempt that in real life people.
Well, it doesn't always work the way it does in movies lol. In reality some people (like my friend) found that to be...well, a bit of feminine thing to do.
Well, I'm going to pull a reference from Top Gun. "High Way to the danger zone"
your friend doesn't know shit, keep singing dude. What's feminine about music? It's a human way of interaction.
AquariusRevolution Extactly. Well said sir.
was his name Jude?
take it for what it is.........this moment in the movie gave me chills, shivers(great feelings)oh and much more. If you need a reference, i'm here for the (416). Beatles Forever AND EVER
I'm still here 13 years later
I love the drunk guy who says "Hey Jude." It kills me every time I see it.
kurt cobain
I love how max is like “JUDY JUDY JUDY JUDYY” cause it actually works how it was in the song in the movir
Am I the only person who think that if Max sang Hey Jude for Jude, Jude should sing Maxwell`s Silver Hammer for Max?
+Matheus Lamha Not really. That song is about a college kid going on a killing spree. Not exactly the same feel.
Steve C yeah, but they could do something to sound like a dream, a daydream or something. Or do you really think that being for the benefit of mr. kite actually happened?
+Matheus Lamha they made a reference to the song when he was whacking the fan, as well as a second reference when they were renting the apartment. Maybe it just didn't fit into the movie well.
that would've been awesome
Across the univers 2 maxwell becomes a serial killer.
"Yea, every thing the below neck works fine" also when Jude rubs the kids head before he leaves, Also the reunion is genuine. This movie is so vastly underrated.
Man I love this movie so much
My favorite part is when Max screams "Jud-ay, Jud-ay, Jud-ay, Jud-ay, Jud-ay, Jud-ay, Jud-ay!!
Anyone here from 2019 still watching this? Just me? Okay?
Me
Me
2020!
I watched it yesterday and the hard truth is that I'm just disappointed max and jude didn't get togheter...
I didn't think it was possible, but this song keeps getting better, better, better, bettttter
this is unbelievably underrated movie.
best cover of hey jude 😁
Everyone in this movie had amazing voices.
A beautiful musical... loved it with all my heart 🥰
Trash can guy was awesome!
Totally agree
Dustbin in Liverpool
Always trash can guy. * still kinda scares the hell out me when I am not expecting it...
I been listening to this for years and it still brings back memories and I love it 🤟
"You don't seem too messed up."
"Yeah... well... Everything from the neck down works fine."
:'S
can never get tired of this movie.
This was an amazing movie on so many levels for me. Will always be in my top 3. Joe Anderson at 1:22? Just his face shows how in character he is. Absolutely loved this scene and song.
2:30 to 2:43 is by far my favorite part of the move xD
JOE ANDERSON
I think Joe Anderson should make an album...he has a fantastic voice
My mother is a true beatles fan, she is 50, and she said that her whole life was surounded by beatles music, when she gets sad, she listens to hey jude or let it be, when she is happy she is alsays singing blackbird or lucy in the sky with diamonds, Im not personaly a beatlemaniac, but I was raised with it, and in 30 years, I'll remember my mother with their songs. THEY ARE INMORTAL
Max looks like Kurt Cobain
+Nina Biersack Kurt "overrated" Cobain
+Pretty Guapo you are fucking stupid. kurt changed the world of rock. rock was stagnant and dying. nirvana revived the rock world. i bet you look exactly like your profile pic. now go spend your foodstamps for drugs.
Mike Bunch Kurt changed the world for the possers
+Pretty Guapo Kurt showed the world the youth was depressed and was one of the first bands to really be written for teenagers
+Echoone Actual before abandoning his child.
I love this song whenever I'm upset I sing it lalalala
Same
I think this is, by far, the most creative muscal-like movie I've ever watched (and I've seen quite a myriad of them!) I love how this movie's got where there's singing, but it's taken like normal speaking by the other characters.
I think I'm going to cry. That is so gorgeous.
Best line: "Well, everything below the neck works fine."
This was before I was born and I love it. I can’t wait to sing it to my future kids. :3 ♒️
I'm about to cry.. my favourite song in one of my favourite films.. just perfect ♥
You don't get chills? That "better" build is absolutely insane!
This scene touched my heart in a good way :)
I love this movie!!! I absolutely love The Beatles, they will forever be my favorite

It's so remarkeable the fact of Joe Anderson sang one of the most beautiful songs from the beatles....
I am a Beatles fan and I think is the best remake I have heard ever. Don't speak for all of us....
I fcking love how Joe sings/scream the part of "Jude, jude, jude, jude..."
Got this movie I love the Beatles the music rocks
Thank you from my heart for sharing, blessings to you, and all your loved ones . In Jesus' name, 🙏
This scene has so much joy for me. For one, Max isn't dead, Lucy isn't dead, and Jude goes back for Lucy... and then of course, this song is awesome in it of itself...
My favorite part is 2:31
2:29 Genio!!!!!!!!!! [Speed 1.25♥]
See, that's what music can do to people. It'll make them go on with life no matter what.
This art direction in the film was superb.
This is the song i sang to my friend when he lost his girlfriend
moments like 3:22 and 2:44 is what Life is all abouT right there
You know what I love about this scene - is that Max has been through hell, and yet he's being positive and supporting his friend, and seems to have a positive outlook on life.
Dude kicking the trash can lid was EPIC
That's me.
when i'm depressed my brother sings this song to me
Great film! Wonderful moment when the boys sing with Jude. I wasn't born, but I miss the Beatles so much!
One of my all time favorite movies
have the soundtrack and the movie and watched it drunk and baked wow
God never knew kurt cobain could act
Thats not kurt cobain
Kiona Zand Oh! We got a genius here.
Te B 😂😂lmao
Te B Or sing.
Te B - Kurt Cobain was a *huge* Beatles fan and would've enjoyed this movie. It would've been his secret, guilty pleasure movie that he watched when nobody was around. lol
This is such a beautiful and underrated movie ♥️
I've been searching for this movie for YEARS and it wasn't until today that I remembered the trailer was Hey Jude in acapella before busting out in rock.
I've never seen the movie, only the trailer, and it was so hard bc I couldn't go thru 184747382747 VHS tapes to find the trailer again. 😂💜
I know which movie I'm watching today!!!
never watched the movie, just saw it in commercials and love the song, i want to see the movie but never get around to it
Rumor has it that Paul McCartney has a cameo in here rightin the part but I can't find him.
Best. Movie. Ever. I'm a Beatles fan, and had never seen this movie until my girlfriend showed it to me a couple weeks ago. Blew me away.
I miss 'The Shipperies'. Closed years ago but one of the best pubs in wavertree
what ? you didn't see the movie ? what are you waiting for ?
esto es amor
eso si
Que pelicula es?
Bryan Buendia Guzman A través del universo
I waited the whole movie to hear this song, thank goodness they did not disappoint me with it
The Beatles are the kings of music in its entirety
Fun fact, my drama teacher was in this
Fun fact, And every one heard about it 😂
dammit Netflix why remove this movie from it
This movie was the greatest movie ever watched
Got exposed to Beatles songs because of this movie.❤️
