    I need this next video ASAP lol. Also I hope they update the 86 and the gtr too. That metal body gtr is nice

      "What improvements would you like to see in the GTR? The GTR was the first model to feature the new red circuit board and the updated remote control. Under the hood, the Miata and the GTR are the same, and now the gray RX7 is as well. Additionally, the 86 has been updated with the same red circuit board and remote control."

      @@JeRoEnDoR not really sure. The internals to be the same across the board. And the controller. Maybe updates to the gyro to a slightly better one. Or the servo for the steering updated. Or maybe they open up replaceable parts for it to upgrade to metal components next.

      They did release the ae86 with new electronics. Also the red ae86 looks like it's a candy red now. I should have mine by next week

      @@hardtobearit Hopefully, they will indeed be working on this in the near future. As for the gyro, I would recommend going for the DasMikro V5. For 20 bucks, it's hard to complain. However, I do believe they should be more transparent across their entire product line. I recently read that someone ordered two Miatas, one of which came with torsion springs, while the other had friction shocks.
      It now seems that they are going to equip the new models with shocks, but it shouldn't be the case that you order two identical models with different setups.
      Additionally, parts should be more accessible. A replacement battery is hardly available on short notice. Of course, you can always use a different battery or solder a connector yourself, but that shouldn't be necessary. In such cases, it's often more practical and faster to just buy a extra cheap ldrc model that comes with a battery. Double the fun!

      @JeRoEnDoR หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@bighextacy I also noticed that the red ae86 wasn't fire truck red, but rather a beautiful candy red. So I ordered it. I already needed extra gold wheels and a extra battery, so it seemed like the perfect excuse to purchase the candy red ae86 with new electronics (hopefully it is candy red)😁

    Glad I found your channel. Looking to get in to rc drifting without dropping $200-300+ right away.

    I totality agree the miata is the best of of the box. I have the old rx7 and it was really twitchy. I put the afrc v3.5 on the rx7 and the dasmikro on the miata and they're both awesome now. Even with the dasmikro on my skyline i still can't find he sweet spot to get it to drift well. I think it's the extraweight of the body. Also, i am starting to think the aluminum hexes aren't really am upgrade, I've had 2 screws back out and lost the hex and bearings on my rx7 and miata. I don't want to damage the screws and over tighten them

    • @JeRoEnDoR
      @JeRoEnDoR หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Miata is indeed the best out of the box. However, I must say that the GTR takes a very good second place. Maybe I actually like that the body is a bit heavier, which makes it feel more natural. The transitions of the Mazda, on the other hand, are definitely faster due to the lighter plastic body, which I think makes it easier and quicker for many to pick up. I’m curious about the upgraded AE86. Maybe that one will take the first place.

    Can you make a video about installing some foglights (yellow color preferably) into the RX-7? Would look sick

    im so glad you got the hotrc f11 gyro, i bought that one a week ago and ive been having trouble trying to set it up correctly, for the next video could you show the settings you use for it?

    • @APEXRCGARAGE
      @APEXRCGARAGE  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Im actually trying to set it up now and it doesnt seem to work well with the LDRC electronics, non stop shaking and erratic steering for some reason. I will probably stick with the DasMikro v5. The hotrc f11 gyro could work well with different electronics but i havent tested that.

      @@APEXRCGARAGE Yup the same thing happened to me with stock electronics, but when i tried it with all new electronics it actually worked pretty good, but i still like the dasmikro more i feel its just more stable

    Do these updated RX-7's have metal gears as stock? And if it doesn't, do I need to buy and install new metal/steel gears in the gearbox? Would it cause gearbox problems otherwise?

    This same silver RX-7 also has the standard small remote transmitter version (is it the first/previous non-updated one?), but do you know if the drifting performance and the gyro performance will be the same on both versions?
    I initially wanted the smaller remote transmitter version, that's why

    • @APEXRCGARAGE
      @APEXRCGARAGE  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If it has the smaller remote then I think it will have the older electronics which are not as good. As far as I know, the cars that come with the bigger remote have the updated electronics
