The Mavericks lost the series before it started, just a two-man team with average role players. They don't have the depth to give Boston problems. Porzingis's return was the icing on the cake.

Difference between Tatum and Kyrie's shooting slumps. Tatum is playing defense, getting boards, and still orchestring the offense. He's helping the celtics in other ways. Kyrie is almost a liability out there when the shot isn't falling

Agree 100% with Windhorst. The media may care about Tatum being "the face of the NBA" but the only thing he should care about is winning. If the Mavs keep doubling him then he should just keep setting up his teammates for easy baskets, because it's working. If anything he should be more selective about some of the shots he's taking.
Windy is absolutely spot-on imo. Tatum definitely made plays on both ends of the court, defending well, assisting, and rebounding; that said his shot-making was atrocious and he definitely needs to be better there.

For the media if you’re not scoring you’re not playing well. I remember Kobe shot it poorly in 2010 finals game 7. You know what he had, 15 boards. The game is not all about scoring, you have to defend and rebound the ball. I’ll take 18 points and 10 rebounds from Tatum along with the defense he plays all day long.
Kyrie needs to focus on attacking to assist, not attacking to score. He also is waiting to attack when they pass him the ball instead of attacking right away. But the Celtics defense it too good. Long arms and quick feet and great patience for blocking shots in Jrue, Brown, and KP. Tough draw for Ky since he's under 6'3
I think people forget tho, Boston was really strong this year ESPECIALLY when playing at home. I'd rather have a guy like JT, who has a more complete game. Just look at the Celtics and how they performed the years with Kyrie and without.
