Yessssssss. Two of my favorite Christian men. One for saving, one for slaying. I’ll let y’all decide which one is which.

“A man is successful based on the priorities he makes and how well he balances between those priorities”
What a gem of a quote!

This was amazing! I learned a lot about John's depth in theological matters from this. I have so much more respect for him. Mark wasn't on my radar at all.... until now.

Cultural Christianity versus Biblical Christianity. So true. Most church congregations don't even carry a bible into the church. Its not the same as having the bible on your phone.

This was a good conversation. I wonder if anyone here has kept an eye on the conversion of western men to Orthodox Christianity? The discipline and historical roots really draws in a lot of men.

In case you're interested in the feedback, I'm a 'Jordan Peterson Christian' (in that I don't hold the BELIEFS but I do follow the morality and I love/respect the teachings/mythos), so I'm not into listening to pastors give sermons,...however, in these last few years as everything has gone disturbingly insane I happened across Ken Ortiz from Calvary Spokane Church, online, and his "What's the World Coming to?" series of sermons are really excellent. So I just wanted to pass that recommendation along, to be aware of him. P.S. I'm here because of John Lovell, by the way. I'm a gun-person and have been following him for years. In these last couple of years of societal derangement I've felt more and more appreciation for John's spiritual/Christian thoughts and sentiments.

Can anyone see a difference in waiting for the second coming at a time, which we will not know; and actively trying to pursue a foreign policy not based on objectivity and reason, but rather one based on your particular sects eschatological beliefs?
Hardly a separation of church and state.

I believe the choice to follow God is a choice each soul makes. I heard you say you didn't, but I greatly appreciate you not harping on the point.
Both views can be attacked as pagan, but I don't think it is as important as many believe, my former self included.

    Military vet here.
Appreciate the opportunity to listen to this conversation.
These dear brothers, well meaning, scream insecurity as they overemphasize so-called masculinity.
Carnality comes in all shapes and sizes... no less in a fleshly bravado of mistaken identity and function.
Theirs is a full pendulum swing, a reactionary stance to the world (i.e. wokism, feminism, etc).
This has pinned them down in the ditch on the opposite side of the road in a mere culture war (carnality) possing as spiritual conflict.
If we are not careful, talk like this is an ambush to actual existence and thriving as Christians.
    Hard pass.
