Love all the work you do John! I don’t believe that about America. The British ran the world for a bit an they were just passed by America. I understand Rome fell but honestly don’t believe that will be americas fate, if anything we will be passed by the China or the NWO (rich people)

My favorite quote "Hard times bring strong men, Strong men bring easy times, Easy times brings weak men, Weak men bring hard times"...... This is a perpetual cycle...
    No words are more true!!

It's called the fremen mirage and it's from Frank Herbert's Dune series (SciFi). It's been demonstrated to be false throughout history

    • @chillgirl-s9i

Quite from a novel does not mean it does not hold true.
Lol, and how has it been proven false throughout history, give me one example where weak men have brought good times and then an example of how strong men have brought hard times..
America would have never existed without strong men standing up saying enough is enough and having the courage to fight for what right.
America has a weak frail man leading the face of our country now and how is that working out for us?
Basically your saying strong men like John cause hard times and the pantywaste politicians who never struggled a day in their life suggesting how we should live are the ones we should aspire to be like…

I thank God for making it clear that the time is now to leave. We left a metro area 2 years ago. It cost a lot, but I am so glad we did. We’ve already seen good things for my kids, my wife, and me. I hope this nation repents tomorrow morning, the economy goes great, and all our enemies trip over their own feet. I’d still be glad to be out here homesteading. …but it’s not looking that way, and I’m so grateful to God and our friends for all we have now.

Great video! I've been watching Pastor Mark Driscoll, and he says that 'evil won't ever stop itself'. Good men must stop evil in its tracks. Take heed in what John is saying. We all want to believe in the goodness of people, but sadly, that is just not how it works. The way I see it, we act like valves. We either let good or evil pass through. What we contribute is choice, so choose wisely!!
God bless you both and thanks for the show!

There are so many passive ways to protect your homestead & family. But there are times where/when you must be more aggressive and stand between your farm/family and the outsiders who want what you have. Be it your food, housing, or your family members or money.
Be watchful, informed, and ready at all times.

@@ncd7184 One was his video acceptance speech from the first Gundies that I watched. He was in Africa, and his attitude and the way he talked to the guys with him really rubbed me the wrong way. Another is the fact his gear always cost so much, and it seemed like he was over charging just for his little stamp to be on it. This seems to be an issue that has been corrected though. And part of it also felt like he was using "faith" as a marketing tool. These days I just feel like I was wrong about all of it. tiered system for me. hardwired cameras, gates, remote trail cams for unviewable areas on the property. Early warning through our doggos. Are we protecting ourselves from a natural disaster? Or chickens against a coyote? Something on two legs while police are 30min away? Is the family home, or out and about? Does someone in the community need help? So many questions roll into security its good to have a broad base.

Homesteading is amazing. However, it does add work to your life. Influencers/TH-camrs can make it look easier than it is.
Animals and crops need attention when they need it. There is no "off the clock".
My wife wanted every animal in Noah's ark. I already had cows, so I agreed to add chickens. Then I made a garden for her to tend. all with 3 boys under 5.
Quickly she realized there is a "rule" people don't talk about. Time management/efficiency.
You can't do everything. You must determine your priorities and focus on that.

Case in point, Ruby Ridge, Waco. It's not individuals I was ever worried about. Seems as if Americans are to scared to defend themselves against situations like this. How do I prepare for an event such as the aforementioned events previously mentioned. God bless you John and yours. God bless America!

A minor pushback I have towards John: before we embrace Security, we need to have something worth Defending. But most of us feel we have something worth Defending, so its a minor point.
Great point from John that before we would buy anything, we must know our CONTEXT. And when we buy tools, we need training in how to use those tools. Or go earn the experience. But its usually cheaper to pay someone else than spend the hours and money to learn in the school of hard knocks.

Security is the most important. What you secure is the most valuable. And the level of security ought to match the value you protect. The 1st & 2nd amendment example is a great example. 1st is the first because it shows us where value comes from. It’s the poetic gem we must secure.

For two years I was raising meat/fur rabbits in the CITY. I had an awesome landlord who was okay with it since they were outside.
For my security I already had a driveway motion alarm watching my door and rabbit cage and never needed it. Then one night at 1am it goes off and I figure it's a false alarm but grab my 9 anyways. As I go by the door I hear some whispering.
I quick open my door and sure enough there is a guy with a flashlight fumbling to open the cage! I yell at him and keep the 9 in a close held draw as he looks then (thank God) runs the other way.
I NOW realize why old people have heart attacks when in similar situations. My adrenaline dump was huge and I just started shaking after while it burned off. I was in good shape and in my mid 20s. I'd hate to have been frail and elderly.
Later I heard it was an ex of a friend of mine. They said "they were depressed and walking the neighborhood in my back yard when they saw the rabbits and felt bad and were going to free them."
They were healthy and had no idea of what to do in the wild. Worse yet there was a stream on one side of my property. They may have got spooked and drown.
My rabbit cages were on a blind corner of the small building you couldn't see, hear, or smell them from the road. He was going through my back yard and that's why he saw them.
I no longer raise rabbits but am glad I did. The two original breeders were adopted as pets which is what I wanted since they were friendly rabbits and I did get attached to them. At only about 3 years old they have long retirement ahead with a lady who loves rabbits and possibly was going to fix the buck so they could share a cage.
A simple $25 drive way alarm from Amazon protected my herd. Security doesn't have to be super expensive. LOCK YOUR CAGES.

YHWH commanded Noah to build an ark, to prepare. Yeshua told us in advance that the days of His return would be just like the days of Noah, we need to prepare.

Exactly! God always provides; however if you want that paycheck, who’s gotta get out and do the work? And that’s just “normal” life. Yes, God provides-He gives us the heads-up something’s coming and the wisdom to get ready for it! And if/when the provision runs out, you know miracles are coming one way or another; either miraculous provision here, or it’s time for you to go Home!!!

Just came across your show in which I truly appreciate but I have ONE SERIOUS QUESTION, you both talked about protection? I thought under the Commandments that’ll shall not kill???? How do you answer that?

If you go back to the original word from Exodus 20:13 that was translated into the kjv as “kill” a more accurate translation would be “murder”. For instance Joab killed many people in battle but it was for “shedding the blood of war in time of peace” that Solomon sentenced him to die as punishment.
Hope that helps, it was a question I struggled with for a while as well.

Motion lights, night vison and good communication equipment are good investments. Bad guys like to hide in the dark. Dogs are the best security system on the planet, great early warning system, attack and hunting capability, as well as companionship.

    202 good shows
used to be the neighborhood where you could leave your property unlocked. not anymore. the threat can randomly choose you. for us it is more common to have another bear danger close than the meth-heads since putting up security lights on motion sensors beyond the house, The last group we caught stealing at night from back yards was a drug circle where the kids were stealing things they thought they.could sell or trade for the drugs -- heroin, meth, and marijuana were evidence and warrant searches found and returned some of the missing property. no front teeth on the main bad guy

Great interview, John. But your quote in the Book of Timothy, was in I Timothy not II Timothy, sir.
II Timothy 5:8 (KJV) - “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”
I too get quotes wrong. Not necessarily the quote themselves, but sometimes their exact location, as in this case. It is my intentions to point this out, so in the future, you can know the proper location of the verse.
I respect you and your cause very much. Therefore I wanted you to be correct.
God bless you all and your families!

IT IS VITAL THAT... rural people ALWAYS VOTE in their LOCAL ELECTIONS...
We have got to rebuild our local governments from the very lowest levels first and then work our way up from there.
DO NOT let "Others" choose your Sheriff, Prosecutor, Judges, County Supervisors, Town Council Members, Mayor Planning/Land Use Commission Members, Water Board Members, School Board Members, and other LOCAL OFFICIALS for you. Collaborate with your family, friends, and neighbors and VOTE AS A BLOCK in order to put good freedom loving American Patriots into your LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
Do not listen to self defeated people who try and tell you that "voting doesn't matter" or "it's too late". These people are the problem in the first place. Marxist will often use these same lies as a way to discourage their opposition from showing up at the poll.
We need strong rural people who are willing to stand in the gap for their children, grandchildren, and the future generations to come as well as getting active and do what is right in fighting for our way of life.
