As an amateur chef 😂 (i'm 16) I made it for dinner.. IT WAS A COMPLETE SUCCESS 🤩 All my family loved it, they were all like "Mh, these little dumplings are delicious" I was sooooo proud 😂 Even my father who dont like asian food, ate so much mandu he asked me to make more for tomorrow 😀 Thanks a lot for this recipe Maangchi 😊 ~Love from France PS : I fried one side of the mandu, and then steam it (the crunchy side was so yummy) + my mandu were whirl shaped it was cute 😄
I just love your videos so so much. I didn't grow up with grandparents, both on my dad's side passed before I was born, and my mother's parents never involved themselves in our lives. So it's just SO nice to watch you and laugh with you. I love learning from you. you're so kind :) thank you for sharing everything you love to do.
Hi Maangchi! I'm from Northern China/Manchuria region, and our version of this dish is called "三鲜" or "three-umami" dumplings, where we use scrambled eggs instead of tofu. Shrimp+chives+eggs are the three umami ingredients. My family also makes our own wrappers and it's always a family event, making these dumplings. This is my favourite style of dumplings, hands down! I made it with my university friends once for Lunar New Year using store-bought wrappers, and my friends are from all over the world and all loved it!
I'm having hard time dealing with anxiety due to this huge situation around the worl and watching this video, make me feel comfortable and content. I love dumplings a lot! Thank you
Maagchi you are my number one cooking teacher and I never failed to follow your recipe. Someone said if you teach something sincerely and that people will get the same result as you. Son-seng-nim kamsahamnida!!

hi mangchi. I'm a Malaysian. really love your videos. I had already tried the fried chicken recipe. really amazing. can you show how to make korean chili paste. I'm living in small rural town. did not have korean grocery shop.
The recepie for Mandu is exactly the same as momos which revolves around most of my childhood. We mostly make it with minced chicken, lamb or pork. The only difference is that the fold is done a little different. And lots of love to you from India. ❤️
Yes i picked up a new great tip! I always put fresh dumplings straight into freezer packed in a bag, and they get squashed and freeze together. Doh. Thank you for showing me the correct way to freeze fresh dumplings haha!
Another great recipe! I have lots of chives growing in my yard, and I like using tofu, too. Not oily at all. I folded the wrappers 3 ways and steamed and fried them. (I'm keeping the round ones for soup another day.) Thank you, Maangchi-sshi!
I live in London UK and my daughter and I shop in China Town every month. We stay away from the tourist shops as they are more expensive and the quality is not so good, but the hidden markets are the real jewels. They have everything and more. We make vegetable / prawn dumplings 🥟 a lot, we love them healthy quick and full of fresh flavours.
@@ΑΝΝΑΘΕΟΔΩΡΙΔΟΥ-γ1μ seewoo is a great place to start, not bad on prices, a good fresh veg area, dried packed foods and really good freezer section. The staff are helpful and friendly. On the main street that you enter by the gates, if you walk past all the restaurants and then past a little corner shop that has lots of boxed snacks, you will come to a doorway surrounded by fresh produce on tables and boxes. This doorway leads to an amazing treasure world that is split between 3 floors.
