I would LOVE this game on MOBILE as well. Even if it's just the Arcade to play casually! It's FOOTSIES on steroids. I love it! I would have liked a grappler character though... I agree Judo or any type of Wrestler would have been nice.
Lifelong Martial Artist and fighting game lover ever since Karate Champ on the NES. I've wished for this game at least once a week for the past 30 something years. I'm over the moon that this is finally happening.
This looks like Fighter's Destiny meets Karate Champ. A bunch of these mechanics were implemented into Fighter's Destiny 1 & 2 on N64 such as not being able to defeat opponents from just draining their health, you have to get their stamina down then you could finish them with a special move while they are recovering. You also could immediately win the round by a hard knockdown by successfully throwing the opponent or even ringing them out. Throws can be teched in Fighters Destiny. Opponents also can reverse the throws if they input the correct reversal command in time so you have to be ready to tech yourself in the case that happens. They use a points chart to declare the winner so throws are worth 2 points, special move finishes are worth 5, etc. You win by getting 5 points total.
I've seen this game before watching the video and you can tell just by watching it that it's polished to a T! But sounds like it's just as sharp under the hood as well. I'm stoked : D

I actually did a martial art (shorinji kempo), but only for a few months before I tore something in my shoulder which took a year to heal and I never got back into it. But I made a friend there who I’m still friends with now, over the years he’s done so many different martial arts - I can see him loving this too

I think it's in closed beta, you could try to ask for a key I felt quite identified with the part of the video where you say that this game fulfilled your "dream" of playing a modernized retro fighting game, because god of stickfights also fulfilled my "dream" of playing a fighting game that looks like stickmans fights
Wow. Normally I would never ever even come close to considering playing one of these games that looks like old games and playing kind of weird with not much content, but after watching this video I still won't, but the video was interesting.
