@@retroane9254he means the sum of all positive integers which he thought converged to -1/12 but there was some mistake made by altering the order of the sum. But Ramanujan still had other work on infinity so i don’t think we should say he made only mistakes with infinity

Could you explain how a function can have a converging integral despite it having a vertical asymptote? For example the integral of 1/(x-1)^(1/3) evaluated from 1 to 3. It has a vertical asymptote at x=1, but the integral still converges, how does that work? Thank you for all your great videos
