- Hello Ive just got in a ford focus 1.6 and it has a very squeaky clutch pedal so in this quick video I'm going to show you how to quickly resolve that issue so you don't have to hear it anymore!

You might wanna be careful with where you spray wd40. I've personally had surrounding rubber parts fail on me.

wd40 is not a lube
I know it dose the trick tho
You wouldn't use lube in thread's, adding water resistance to a wet area is perfect.
Lithium grease is the 1 for it
It's a pentrate
If that doesn't work, try doing the same thing to the springs above the pedal.

I need to do it again. Which actual part was is? I've been randomly applying grease and had no luck. Was it the spring?
Yeah the spring just spray it with some lubricants!

What to do if u have the manual cable in stead of cilinders and oil. I have the same sound, apart from the air hissing.
It’s probably broken if there is air escaping may need to take it too a garage
@@restoringsalvage Thanks for your reply. Maybe u misread. I DONT have air hissing. I dont have a cilinder etc. It uses just the pedal and a metal cable. I only have the squeaking / friction sound.
Oh okay there will be a spring somewhere make sure it’s well greased and the cable is not catching on anything even try spraying inside the cable sleeve from both sides!
@@restoringsalvage thank you mate. I had a look yesterday and sprayed silicone into the hole where cable leaves the car.
I saw brown grease on the pedal system. Still wondering what kind of grease i should go and buy.
How do you access the pedal parts. Mines coverd up
There will usually be some little plastic screw holding the panel in, you remove them and the panel should fall down!

My peugeot 308 squeeze only in warm weather. I mean only in afternoon but not morning.
That’s a strange one!
Things expand when warm, checks out when it only squeeks warm. Lubrication also gets less viscious/thick, could also be the cause.

Did you use wd40 normal 1 or wd40 silcone version mate?

This trick works for 3 days then the noise is back
You need to make sure you spray all the moving parts, should work for a couple months before needing to do it again, it’s just a short fix!
Lithium grease will last , especially when it gets warm
wd 40 doesn't work on my ford focus 2011 what is other option apart from wd 40?😢
Use any sort or lubricant you can and make sure you are spraying the moving parts!

What if the squeaky sounds comes from under the car when pressed the pedal slowly 😢
Have you checked it’s defo not the pedal? You need to try pin point where the sound is coming from
Possibly slave cylinder or throw out bearing
Do not use WD-40 normal as a lube. They sell many actual lubes.
Its defo better to use a dedicated lube, but I know many people would not have that to hand!
Wd-40 is petroleum and paraffin based I wouldn’t recommend it for the seals inside that master cylinder, it may shorten its life. These things fail instantly once the seals go.
Brake fluid or Red Rubber Grease is a better alternative, even gt85 has hydrocarbon based solvents that can damage seals.

if your clutch is slipping
When my clutch went in the past the revs went too high all the time. Not sure why as I don’t understand cars which is why I’m here to find answer to squeaky clutch pedal. Will try the WD40 fix.
@@eldante4139 As far as the high revs when a clutch is going, that's called "slipping", and occurs when the friction material on the clutch can't grab onto the flywheel properly anymore. Think of it like a brake pad pressing on a brake disk. When it gets old and worn out, it won't grip the disk as well
