Thank you for this info! I just did the same job on my Toyota Echo, I used a small paint brush to work the grease into the pivot. The hardest part was putting the rubber boot back in. All quiet now!
I just used your method had a brand new stage4 clutch fitted on my celica gt4 had the same problem removed the master cylinder from the gearbox along with the rubber grommet on the master cylinder pushed the piston back with my thumb lubed the whole inside of the cylinder with grease along with the clutch fork.. all sorted it feels brand new no more squeaks super smooth engagement thank you so much you saved me £££ ❤️
I want to personally thank you for this video. I had the same problem with my truck and mechanics were not able to solve it and this really worked. Thanks man!
Thanks for posting this vid. I've had this noise getting worse and worse in my FRS for a couple months now, and this just saved my ass a lot of trouble. I was about to drop the whole trans. Good job on the details, helped a lot .
It would be very hard to get grease on the clutch. It is pretty much shielded by two large discs, you know what they are and are much larger than the clutch. Putting grease there would require you to put it on the wrong side of the fork. And even then it would be hard to do. Wouldn't worry too much about that.
Okey, aha good to know.Still I am cautious. The sound resently started to come back so did regrease it again, this time using a bit more grease, spraying with a small hose just the part that makes the most sound. Now it's quiet again.. :-)
My Subaru made the same noise. I removed the boot to the fork. Sprayed chain lubricant down to the pivot and noise instantly disappeared. Better than removing the transmission.
Correct. Toyota has a specific SST (Special Service Tool) that is meant just for doing that. The needle can be removed and replaced with a different shaped needle for squirting grease into the tiny hole on a brand new water pump as well.
Hei. Jeg har en 2000 mod corolla... Akuratt samme problem.

Thank you Christopher. Very useful comment.
@@ScooterSimplicity Did you just spray in from the hole in the rubber boot? Maybe biltema's lithium grease spray?
My Toyota corolla started same problem and I was wondering if I spray grease wouldn't be any problem on clutch

Finally fork boot dust cover
There is a hole on the rubber dust boot for greasing. removing this boot is not necessary.
Peach Fuzz so what you just use a grease gun and squirt greese down there?

Thank you, I had the same problem with my manual 3rd gen 4Runner
