The house she got in the divorce had appreciated more than $600k while the guy paid mortgage payments and rented a crap apartment. I can see why the suicide rate for men is so high during divorce.
My ex is a useless abusive drunk who refused to sell. Took him to court to force the sale. He dragged his feet, wasted time, so he was made to pay my legal fees too. House got sold. He had to pay an EQP. Now he’s living in an apt by himself. Never get married.
Been trying to sell since June. My husband wont move out and wont let us list it until he moves out.... its now March of the next year. The mortgage is in my name and my credit score is TANKING! My attorney is filing an enforcement, but i will also be looking into these other legal options you mentioned as well. Thanks
I'm in a noncontested divorce, my exwife filed for divorce and all we have together is a home. Everything was was filed last year and I plan on buying her out for 56k. Recently she called me asking for more money because the property value went up in equity. Question is can she cancel the divorce and refile to get more money without my approval on canceling the first divorce?

I am not on the deed but bought the house together and I’m on the mortgage we have been leagally married for twelve years am I entitled to anything have been together for 38 years
Do you have to show the house during COVID allowing strangers in your living space who are potentially COVID carriers ? It makes since to me that the one living in the house should be able to be protected from contracting the virus until the country is declared clear of covid and it's vairents. this is an unusual situation.

@rupertperiwinkle4477 that's funny because it's now 11 mo ths later and a lot had happened since then INCLUDING a judge telling her that SHE is responsible for her bills now matter if she leaves them for me to pay or not. The bills in your name and you're not paying it for whatever reason it's on you not him. I won that case and kept everything and she has to pay alllllllll that back
@@driftaway2806 That's not what happened in my case. They stayed in the house and had to pay the bills. It was a domestic violence case. The judged also ordered them to pay a portion of my legal fees because they dragged their feet and sabotaged the sale.
What if neither spouse wants to sell the marital home, but one spouse wants sole possession, and that is in her divorce demands? i.e. How can the judge let the divorce go through?

Get your lawyer to ensure your ex pays for your legal fees. Because he dragged his feet for over a year and wasted time.

If you remained living in the house, and she moved out, you are responsible for paying the bills not her.
