Great review! Actually the original Twin Graph came in both resin and steel cases, so this reissue is still true to the original. Will definitely get this one!
I got mine a few days ago and my 9 year old daughter noticed it right away. And she doesn't give a toss about watches typically. I love it, total winner.
Jeeeez it's already the the 40th anniversary of G-shcok?!?!? Time does fly. I've always loved the AE-200, so happy to hear they did such a good job with this new one. Great video, this release totally past me by. I think the size suits you perfectly and that grey, just perfect. Thank goodness for a decent backlight too. Thank you for taking the time to share this! Best regards, TGV
I just received mine yesterday, it has not disappointed. Very aesthetically close to the twin graph I remember having as my first watch when I was a kid. I do wish it were metal as I’d like to keep this one forever…
The original 1985 Twingraf looks a little better. It's a pity that the second smaller circular display doesn't have seconds segments like the first version. But it's good that Casio is reviving these legends, albeit in a much more economical version.
It's an homage to the twin-graph, it's not really cloning it. The reason that small display doesn't have a second graph is that the seconds are counted on the LC Analog display.
The original black resin version was my first digital watch back in the day. I loved it and still have it. although I need a new wristband for it.. I can probably get a replacement now that fits well. Thanks for the review! ❤
I'll definitely be buying this once it's available in my country. It's tad bit smaller than CA53W which is ok for me. I'm happy that Casio didn't decide to release it with a negative display. My CA53WF comes with a negative display, it's a challenge to read even in broad daylight.
I love Casio watches and I wear A500WA-1 everyday. I loved this new model the instant I looked at it in the website. It was only later I learnt this is a reintroduction of their vintage collection Twingraph. Now I am loving this more. Will soon be getting one. Thank you for the review. It was very clear and helpful to understand what the watch offers.
I bought the Timex LCA, which wasn't cheap, but the full metal case and band was a win, what wasn't a win was the puny LED light. It's all very well going for "retro" but Timex have had Indiglo for ages, and it would have been easy to put it in, and frankly they should have for the asking price. I've got a 1985 Casio AE-70 which is a style I'd much rather see brought back, but I'll probably grab one of these once thry're available again.
I bought the LCA and regretted it instantly. Yeah the metal is cool and the little pop of blue in the screen graphics was nice, but the LCA was a nightmare to use. Every feature of the user interface was poorly thought out and it cost an awful lot for a watch I never wanted to actually use. And it had the worst backlight I've ever witnessed. And no manual.
First time checking out your channel. Thanks for showcasing this cool Casio! Has a Royale vibe to it. Also, my last acquisition was the blue-dialed version of your Sumo Solar GMT and I love it! Cheers!
I wore the original on back in the late 1980's and it looks similar, but they are missing the red line around the display, with a blue line as well. I had the black resin one. The module looks exactly the same.
I was a little concerned about the size when I received mine, but it quickly grew on me. It's the amount of useful features that Casio has packed into such an efficient case that does it for me. I thought I was getting the feature set of a W800H, which was fine because I just really dig the twin graph, but am enamored with what I got. Gray is how I ordered mine as well. My wrist isn't huge, so it looks good on me, then again I prefer smaller watches. Great review man.
I recently saw this and I'm in love with it! It's back in stock too Happy to hear that it's smaller as I prefer that with small wrist and all. Thank you for this review!
This amazing watch it is very similar in functions about an unit that I had when I was kid, the AE-11W module 694. but this one it is even better because it have light, and I guess the time zones, I love it and I cant wait to receive mine.
Thanks for review! A good watch indeed, but the only thing make me feel sorry is the 60 seconds window on AE-20W is now been changed to 10 seconds windows on LF20w。
Agreed. Received my watch yesterday and the band and the look brought me back to my AE-20W from my childhood. My daily will still be my DW-5600, but will definitely be pulling this one out for those times I know I won't need the beater GShock Durability.
This release is great and more "digital analogs" should come back, although i prefer the graphs on the original. I also miss some colours on this one... nevertheless i'll be getting one soon.
I like when they're called 'liquid crystal analog'. The chip inside quartz watches is indeed digital, but that's the case for analog quartz watches too.
I had a twingraph orig and it was plastic case and strap . Sold for a pretty penny .. the date couldn't be set to today's one as it only went to 2016 or something
Oh... I'll be getting one once it's back in stock... I would love it if they re-made the AE-21W as it was the watch I had as a kid and I've been trying to get one from ebay but they are being sold at a crazy price.
Estimado muy buena reseña, no conocía este modelo me gusta que tenga la hora analógica digital y que no es muy grande. Hay algún modelo Casio que solo tenga la hora analógica digital y que ocupe toda la carátula? Saludos 👍
great vid yes I will be getting one my self as an alternative for "house watch" and my modded casioak as my "formal watch" really awesome what they did here
I've been looking for this twin graph watch. If they release this in resin I'd dive straight in. Problem is I live in the UK, so I doubt if I'm able to make a purchase. Thanks for sharing etc
That's an interesting one. I'm not likely to get one since I've just finally bought the Royale on the bracelet and haven't given it much wrist time since (somehow my G square or the W59 almost always end up on my wrist when I'm checking Casios in my box), and this one certainly has a similar vibe to it. Love that G btw, I hope you got it for the retail price, which was high enough already. That's one thing I don't like about G squares, you've got to pay much more (2x, 3x) for a slightly upgraded version of the same exact watch. Casio does the same with the Vintage series. Oh well, thankfully I'm not into golden versions anyway. Thanks for the review!
Super Awesome Classic! I thought I remembered? (back in the day) a version of the Clock being 'black face with gold markers and hands', 'Analog', with Digital at the base' If Im correct, dunno its been awhile? I would love to see something like that made' or again! _ Really Love this' Thank you Casio!🤍
I’d like to see a 42 mm release with full Arabic numerals for the analog time display screen and the graph screen should be replaced with a world map screen that shows whether its day or night depending upon your time zone.
As a kid in the 80s, had a twin-graph, and wore it until the strap broke. It was resin, not metal. Point being, they DID make a resin one back in the day.
Agree with your thoughts. I wanted to love this watch but it's too small to make it fun - or at least the display is. Even though it's about the same size as the original, the digits are actually smaller than on the original Twin Graph. If casio made this one 30% larger it would be a slam dunk. Also the LCD viewing angle issue is a real defect I think.
I mean the 10sec timer could be useful for espresso if you cannot afford the Brew Metric. My scale has a timer but if it did not I would be looking for a watch like this since it serves the purpose for a fraction of the price.
The beige variant of the LF-20W almost looks like the white AE-20W which is basically a unicorn at this point. And yes, it is a worthy successor! I'm glad Casio is re-releasing old models with a little design overhaul.
I bought a black one, great features. Because of the size it has only been on my wrist for only one day since I bought it. I still think it is a great concept but wish it was larger and definitely wish it was made of medal.
@@CasualWatchReviews ya, I seen that one but it is to expensive for me but it is really nice. I guess now you can officially call the G square a granddad's watch.

typically how long does it take for a resin band to break down that you own? Do you wash the watch and dry it?

What size is your wrist? Wrist presence?
What an amazing re-release! An INCREDIBLE value proposition, which is why I love Casio. I'm VERY keen to pick one up when they're back in stock!
Casio keeping it classy with the size 👌🏼
