Some lovely lighting effects on the evening train. No wonder it took so long to pass 156 cars, though technically most were articulated. The old traffic signal was a gem of a find! Can't be many of those left around nowadays.
At this time of year, we lose light the fastest at approximately 4 minutes a day until 21/9 when it slows down. That "No Left Turn" sign made me laugh - it gave me a mental image of the train turning left and heading up the High Street 👍
Wow ! 5 engines, old train lights, long train, beautiful sunset on the red/orange train , night train 🚂, and bonus train through the flood dam ! Awesome 👏 thanks for filming!!!
Nice catch of all the NS trains that went through Circleville! The one you caught at night was definitely a bonus since you don't video at night. However, it was a great catch and glad you got it! And the very last NS train you caught I saw it had an Articulated AUTORACK right b4 the last car! Thanks again as always JT for some amazing footage to share with us along with your time and effort my friend!
Wow! This is one awesome video. Lots of live train action into sunset and the night in a great part of the Great State of Ohio. Love the Circleville/Washington Courthouse and Chillicothe areas. It's one of the prettiest parts of Ohio. It looks like it was a great end of summer, fall is coming day. So fun to see the way Norfie and Chessie get on. They are best buddies. As I thought, Norfie might be the younger one but she is clearly in charge of things. 👍 👍 👍 👍
Chessie think was making sure kitty safe place....he is a watcher ....great dog JT and cat 🐈...we get five rescues one loves watching the trains to ....awesome big guy
@@shauntrailskinner9645 LOL! its the vintage signal sign with 3 black circles right of the shot. The top red signal is blinking. The second signal underneath says in white letting with a black background NO LEFT TURN. it is hard to spot.
Really like the lighting!!! Adds another layer to the vid. Nice shadows and it’s cool to see how much the sun sets and the light changes during filming. Thank you for another great vid!! Thanks for waving to us!!
Thank you for documenting these trains in Circleville, Ohio and Chillicothe, Ohio, Jaw Tooth! There were some long trains in this video. The sun shining on that twilight intermodal train made for some amazing highlights. I understand why you do not make it a habit to take train videos at night. The lack of light makes it difficult to see the engines and cars on a train.
I liked the horn on the third train Also liked that old turn signal and definitely liked the night time train and the reflections of the car lights against the train cars
Really like those "No Left, No Right" turn lights, if they ever take them down I hope they make it to a museum !! 👍 Love it when they rev those Geeps, nothing like it !! 👍 Great back lighting from the sun on that train. Neat night video too, came out pretty good, definitely worth it !! 😎 Oh man you got a lot going on in this video, Awesome Live Action Video !! 👍👍👍👍
Nice catches Son ... 181K and growing ... Thx ... By the way , East Terminal Railway gave you a shout out ... Your getting famous so don't change a thing ...
Yeah by golly those delineates on tank cars really show up well in the dark . It was kinda cool seeing train in dark , adds a neat element to the spectrum. Good show !!!
WOW another GREAT VIDEO.. I Loved the LONG TRAIN at first, but especially you explaining about the manufacture, the date and weight of the Rail, PLUS the Spinning of the Wheels on the Track, I have never seen a spun on rail like that before.. The Night train had some cool lighting effects for sure, and I thought it was very good myself. I haven't seen very many trains filmed at night, I'm sure everyone Really enjoyed it also. Keep up the Great work my friend, you don't realize how much we enjoy your hard work and dedication just for our enjoyment. Stay Safe out there...AND Keep'em Coming...! God bless & Godspeed...
I'm too damn impatient to wait at the gate for the train. I'd have driven down to the train instead of waiting at the crossing...... Mornings and evenings always seem to offer the best light. Love the shadows on the cars, especially yours! I'd love to have a sign like that for the man cave. You're filming on the "edge", best time ever. Night shots are COOL!! Absolutely worth filming. Hit it out of the park, thanks!
That double no left and no right turn signal is quite rare and are disappearing rather quickly. The schlub in the white pickup who floors it to go around the gates is the same Twinkie who does 2 MPH turning in a driveway. Your night shot turned out pretty decently and in fact at times looks like the scene from the opening credits of the TV show In the Heat of the Night. If one didn't know it the bonus train shot on the levee actually looks like an abandoned right of way. This show portrays why the Midwest is not all flyover country
There were two round signals on each side. The side we saw, one of the two was lit NO LEFT TURN. The other one was not lit. What does it say, LEFT TURN OK?
Brian! We need to change your name to "Night-Train". That would have been a great segment if you had been on the other side of the tracks where the streetlight was shining on the train. Just a little more light would have put that portion over the top. Thanks so much for the Circleville videos. Loved the GP38-2 at the head end of the short train. The cat and dog are too much!!! Each loves the other, but they also like to torment each other just a little bit. HAW-HAW! It is very funny to watch the two of them as they wrestle with their own feelings about each other.
Another of your consistently great railfan videos. I commend you, again, for your rails forensics, especially that locomotive wheels slip damage. By the way, you prob. know, the "USS" in front of "Carnegie" is for U.S. Steel, the corporation he founded. Stay well and looking forward to more of your well-done railfan videos.
that first intermodel train, was god size. Instead of those 300 car monsters I hope you and 1960 Gambit recued that orange safety cone ? It looked in good shape but abandoned : ) You could you could use it when you park you truck along the road . Five locomotives and only one or two powered. Typical NS, 30 mph struggle. Always the best Video's with Chessie and Little cat ! best Sam.
Scott's being lazy with the tripod haha You'd never do that. That's why your channel is the best! The gate runners are your same people that run red lights and stop signs. Flashing red lights mean STOP. That silver Hyundai Santa Fe jump the gates before they were all open and should have yielded to the main line traffic. It's all about him he's got to be first.
"JawTooth video, take 2". Does that mean you signal the engineer to stop the train, back it up on the track, and then signal them again so that you can start the filming up again? 😁😁😁😁 Love to see what a take 3 is!
I actually like nighttime trains. Just listening to the train blowing the horns as it gets closer, and then seeing the headlight as it gets ready to come around the curve. Then after the train passes, listening to the horns in the distance.
i loved the "bonus train" during the late evening. i've been a fan of railroading in general since i was a kid growing up in Greenfield Ohio. lived right next the tracks and sadly as i grew up the tracks were used less and less around there. glad i found your channel. i enjoy your uploads greatly.
Great video JT. That's a great railfanning spot despite what the local crossing runners think... and there is a place to eat right there.. liked the light you got in this one and I didn't mind the after dark train either.
Awesome train action JT. Amazing evening shots with beautiful lighting. No wonder people get impatient with trains these days, with them getting increasingly long, and in this case, crawling through town with at least 150 plus cars. Circleville is an interesting location. Looks to be a fair amount of rail traffic through there. I did look it up on Google Maps and it looks like if you are coming off the highway and need to get into town, you're going to have to wait for a train to pass as there is no way to bypass the tracks. Great videos. Thanks.
