Thank you so much for watching this Poco X4 GT vs Poco F4 review! Let me know if there are any questions you have, or if there are any other apps or devices I need to review!
Poco x4 GT all the way from me, (gaming focus reason). Without the hiccups of amoled (blue, green, pink lines samsung amoled suffer from ehich f4 use, then there is amoled burn, and other things thay make other user dizzy) ill take that best ips lcd x4 GT have. and powerhungry heating chipset of snapdragon. Perfect combo for most intense gaming/heavy apps. The stability and thermal of x4 GT is impressive, (altho realme neo3 Gt) have better optimization/performance/cooling) but flr a diff price range You only need time with dm8100 for further optimization.
I agree Low Cost! It's one of the best devices of the year for sure. I've heard good things about the upcoming X5 Pro, so maybe Poco will keep pushing further with the X series devices this year.
if youre a gamer go for x4gt choose the 256gb variant so you can maximamize it's potential, but if your casual gaming playing ML, LOL, COC, PUBG, CODM etc. you can choose f4 5g 256gb since the SD 870 is the most stable chipset at 8series better thermals compared to 888 ang 8gen1, also the game updates more frequenlty on SD unlike the mediatek it take a while for game updates, if your lack in budget and looking for heavy gaming non stop x4gt is the best option you can get on the market right now, you can't find another D8100 at that prize,..
I really like the way you review and compared the devices sir, also I miss your video, I think when it comes to overall performance, I choose Poco x4 GT, but when it comes to camera, i prepare Poco f4. I hope many people can watch your reviews, you're so underrated.
My old phone has a super amoled screen and I'm planning to switch to either the x4 gt or the f4 but i am really stuck between which screen is better. Does the f4 have blacker blacks for example when viewing the screen in a dark environment than the x4 gt?
@@Spekiyo It's night and day. F4's Amoled gets significantly brighter, has better color representation, and a higher touch sampling rate. The X4 GT's LCD is great for an LCD panel, but it just can't hold up.
Hi mate. I jumped in and bought the Poco F4. But i think I made a mistake. Already? The SoC didn't changed and I don't think there has been a great leap in camera quality tbh. Have not tried GCam yet but that may be a saving grace before i device to sell it. What do you think? I'm tired of swapping and getting new phones. Need something consistent. Like my S20 FE 5G. It's consistent with almost everything apart from the slow charging and cameras are showing it's age.
Hey Gino! I'm sorry it's a let down. Definitely try GCam for sure. Otherwise, I'm really liking the S21 Fe right now. Or you could pick up an S22 on sale or used as the S23 series launches?
@@phonecomp There are things i mostly dislike about the Poco F4 after having the F3 before and other Xiaomi phones in the past. The Dolby Atmos needs fine tuning and optmisation. Using the speakers the sound is really nice, clear, crisp with no distortion. If you start using a 3rd-party earbuds it's the opposite. The distortion is very evident in high volumes and clarity and sharpness take a serious hit. The MIUI is far from being the most feature-packed, user-friendly UI compared to One UI or Oxygen OS. MIUI needs a good clean-up with so many useless options and sub settings in there. The camera photos and video quality can be rectified by GCam but you have to use so much time to figure out which ones are the best one suitable. With or without the config settings the colour rendering & algorythm, white balance, colour accuracy, low light, dynamic range needs plenty of optimisation. And the gawdawful focus hunting is still there. And the issue of updates. Currently I have the November 2022 security updates so that have an improvement definitely. But MIUI 13 is still stuck at Android 12; Xiaomi is prioritising their flagship lineup and premium Redmi Note line. Poco would be last. I think this is the last time I'm owning a Poco. I will re-assess Xiaomi's strategy this year. Selling the blooming thing online right now. I'm targetting either the OnePlus 10T or the new OnePlus 11 by the end of the year. If I have to use my S20 FE 5G till then then I'll do it.
@@TechNomadUK1 I've been thinking about this a lot lately. How much do I care about android platform updates? There aren't really life changing features that roll out anymore, it's generally some cool features that most users won't notice (unless it's in the stock camera app), and major security threats are patched through Google Play Services. I would like MIUI to simplify and become less restrictive in terms of customization though. With your eye for cameras, I'd steer clear of the 10T. It's definitely not bad, but it's not flagship quality.
@@phonecomp The other phone that I was eyeing was the Xiaomi 12T. GSMArena stated the 10T has better camera system overall. And I would agree. Owing to the fact that OnePlus does updates better than the Xiaomi in terms of Android and OS and also security updates. So, I think i already made up my mind. I will still try and install GCaam and continue usine the F4 but i'm already selling it for scrap LOL so i'm happy to wait . There are just too many negatives having had basic expectations on a phone (current benchmark would be my trusty S20 FE 5G) I was wrong to buy the F4. Even the upcoming F5 (the Redmi K60 series) might not even sway me. Although the specs look enticing. But then again....the issue of updates.
@@TechNomadUK1 I'm debating on testing out the 12T. Looks good, but I'm more curious about the OnePlus 11. Well I hope you can find a buyer at a decent price for the F4!
That's true Sham. Surely Poco will update the processor on the F5, and the Pixel 7 series seems to be almost universally loved at this point. But sadly, both are months away right now.
@@phonecomp saw that there are rumors of the f5 coming sooner. Early leaks suggest snapdragon 8 plus Gen 1. As for the 7a we'll definitely have a wait.
Hello Islemassa! It depends on what you're looking for really. The biggest pro for the F3 will be the display, but without the camera or charging speed improvements--i'd go with the X4 GT (as long as the LCD is not a deal breaker for you). If the F3 is much cheaper then it deserves a look, but for the same price, I would go X4 GT. Or wait for the X5 Pro.
Hey Orca! I generally agree, but the display is just bright enough and fast enough to be a good trade off for the Dimensity 8100 at this price point. I didn't drive this point home, but it's also the only affordable device with a headphone jack and a solid processor. The Asus and Sony devices are nicer but much pricier and of course there are sub-$200 phones with jacks, but much weaker processors. I really think the X4 GT fills a gap in the market. Of course, I hope the X5 GT moves to OLED since (you're right) it's a significant step up in display quality.
@@level8473 Hey LeveL 8! They certainly can, but for phone displays specifically--i do prefer the superior contrast ratios and color representation from OLED's. With newer LCD tech coming online in the future, this could certainly change though, but the big phone display manufacturers are betting on OLED big time right now.
@@level8473 lol no. Then why the hell are Samsung and iPhone using amoled on their flagship phones? IPS LCD is going obsolete. There are actually rumors that X5 GT will finally get an amoled display.
The X5 GT with an OLED would be awesome, even if the chipset didn't improve. Maybe just an OLED and a small camera quality advancement would make for another amazing device. At the same price of course.
