    Sounds a lot better but still pingy on the left and right sides as well as the bottom corners. Use two o-rings per screw if you plan to burger mount. the PCB. 4.5mmx1.5mm o-rings are the bets matched with 5-6mm M2 screws.

    • @itsxris
      @itsxris 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      plate foam feels a little less porous compared to PE foam so there may be a difference, depends on how 'muted' you want it to sound imo

  • @Andu_Youtube
    @Andu_Youtube 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey, this isn't related to your video, however I'd like to ask something about your keyboard layout. In your first sound test (without o-rings), I happend to see that you were using a 2u sized lshift and you had used a 1u sized right shift key in the left shift row, and on the other sound test clip, you happend to change your layout to the one which had a regular 2.25u left shift along with the 1.75u right shift. Now that comes to the question which layout did you prefer out of these two. Appearently both layouts happen to have their rows staggered differently, did that make any differences with your typing experience, which one feels more natural to you. I'm currently contemplating which one of the layouts should I go first with my new build, so i'd like to know your opinions about them.

    • @xrispyshots
      @xrispyshots  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I preferred the layout of the newer/2nd one

    • @xrispyshots
      @xrispyshots  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      possibly needs a thinner foam for the kbd67, before that you could try poking larger holes for the switches

  • @mikkelguy

    • @xrispyshots
      @xrispyshots  3 ปีที่แล้ว
