Omg I love it ! I just relaxed my hair today I need all the tips, just subscribed to your channel 😊
I'm happy that you love it and especially that the tips are helpful to you. *Thank you for subscribing!* Was this your first relaxer ever? Or just a fresh relaxer?
@@therelaxedafro7539 hi
@@adminxkdaz3066 Hey
This is a great idea. I never thought about using neutralizing shampoo on my ends before.
When I used Porosity control on my ends during relaxer day my hair came out perfect.
Great explanation about pH balance. Thank you 👏
I love this scale 💕
Thanks for the video very helpful but I wish you had shown how you put the relaxer in it as well.👍🏾
Thanks for your help ☺️
Awesome!! Educational!! Innovative!! Great visuals!! Excellent demonstration!! Thank you for posting!!
Hi Heather, thanks for watching and commenting. I'll be posting more consistently in the future. Do you have relaxed or natural hair?
Relaxed.
This will sound crazy 😜, but I got addicted 2 the natural hair channels, many! My sister(s) and nieces are natural so I’m very interested, BUT will NEVER let go of my relaxer. Then I started making and applying natural masks (avocado base) & the masks STRETCHs my relaxers with NO STRESS (breakage). During the pandemic shutdown my relaxer was 4 months 6 days with no drama. Historically @ 8 weeks I had DRAMA (matting, breakage of course styling)...2 weeks 2 long!! I’m obviously 🙄 not 2 bright because I really didn’t think 🤔 2 look 4 relaxed channels. I know it is all 2 my benefit because my hair is longer, stronger and healthier than ever...I’ll be 53 in December. And again I am applying what I’m learning 2 my relaxed hair. My hair is down my shoulders. Often, I’m trying to figure out WHAT is on my shoulder and down my arms and back AND it is my dang gone HAIR😂!! 😂, really that is funny but I’m not joking. Because of your innovation, I’m considering not returning 2 the salon at all... even 4 touch ups. I’m learning too much not 2 & my new financial circumstances, the salon is a sacrifice. But I’m truly scared 😱 2 relax myself. Thank you again.
@@heatherelliott8246 I was relaxed all of high school and university and went natural for 3-4 years. Been back to relaxers almost 2 years. My mom is exactly 53 and we went natural around the same period. Everytime she visits me she says she want to relax her hair because it's a lot of work😂. It sounds like you have been doing a great job with your hair. The fact that you can stretch for so long shows the natural strength of your hair. My mom and I have very fine hair though so i keep telling her it's not a good idea. If you are curious about natural hair don't be afraid to give it a try 🤪. With all that you have been doing with your DIY and such you might love. But it seems like we both love our creamy crack relaxers 😏😆
Not only do I love my creamy crack, I AIN’T and CAN’T be shamed by any natural girl who tried 2 shame me w/ white girl comments/ridicule. My response is 2 flip my Afrocentric tresses w/ a reply...that a white girl can only wish 😂 😝 😆....makes them madder @ me. I honestly believe, our relaxed hair is a tribute to our Black history unique to America. The natural is beautiful and I do get excited to talk 2 strangers who are natural...always did come 2 think of it BUT I don’t have 2 prove I’m Black and love me and my people 2 ANY BODY, Black, green or purple with any hair type. Thank you 4 encouraging...an old lady 😂 (not even 😉) 2 PRESS on thru this wonderful hair journey. I have subscribed & look forward 2 ur post. Take care
@@heatherelliott8246 Agreed 💯%. Nice getting to know you a little. All the best 💜
*Do you usually coat your relaxed ends before you start? What would you use?*
I love the PH scale . This is so helpful.thank you
I love the pH scale too. It helps me to use my products in the most effective way.
Thank you so much. I just went from natural to putting a texlax in my hair. I now feel confident when I have to do my first retouch. 💕💕
I love your break down very informative
I am happy you did. Thank you.
Thanks you so much for the information. Please keep it up I really appreciate it.
This made Soo Much sense! Thanks for the info!
Wow this video is very helpful I want to get my relaxer tomorrow thanks
Good job 😊🇯🇲
So pretty
Thanks good information 👍👌🏽👏🏾🙏🏽
I am happy you think it is.
You should of got the color code neutralizing shampoo😯😯😯😯
Color-coded neutralizing shampoos are really good to use. It's best to use the same brand relaxer and neutralizing shampoo since they were made for each other.
@@therelaxedafro7539 So with ORS neutralizing shampoo how can you tell all the relaxer is rinsed out
You know it's rinsed out properly of you've followed the instructions on the shampoo. Using the same brand relaxer gives even me reason to be sure. Even though some brands have color coded and some don't, the way they work is the same. The neutralizing shampoo has the complete opposite pH to the relaxer, so once they come in to contact with each other another chemical reaction takes place. Different brands have different instructions. Some brands say to not leave the neutralizing shampoo on the hair other say you can... then some people leave it on for an extended time. When I use the ORS relaxer with the ORS neutralizing shampoo, I rinse my hair well and lather it about 4 times . the instructions say to leave it on the hair for 2-3 minutes, so I do a 5th lather and leave it on for 5-10 minutes to be safe.
@@therelaxedafro7539 I'm a natural 4 years ago I used ORS lye relaxer and burned broke all my hair off. When I relax again sticking with no lye relaxer they're gentle on my scalp👍👍
Great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Canada😆👍
Goos information, but I would like to know where you got your frames! They’re awesome 🤩
Hey thank you. They are La Mata Italy Eyewear www.weloveglasses.com/brands/la-matta/
Tks for sharing. I usually use petroleum vaseline. I will try ur method. Seems great.
Hey. Thanks for watching. Definitely make the best of what you have available. If you have any other pH balanced products it works great too 😉
Hi.
How many time, or how often do you wash your hair and moisturize after relaxing before your next relaxer day?
Hey Annesha. I wash my hair weekly and I moisturize and seal ever day before combing my hair. For this relaxer stretch I plan on waiting a total of 11/12 weeks before relaxing again.
I normally relax every 3 months depends on how much root you have
Nice, i going try this nex week or so..lol
Please do! Your hair will thank you for it 😆
I would just use hair oil not shampoo in as it could fall onto or rest on to the part it needs to relax
Hey, thanks for commenting. You can definitely do that if it's your preference. I would rather have underprocessed sections that can be corrected than overprocessed sections so this way works great me.
Hey, someone relaxed my hair two weeks ago, and it is so under processed. How soon can I re-relax it to fix it because my regrowth is so thick that it will cause damage?
Hey Sarah. So it's just the new growth from the last relaxer that's underprocessed?
The last time I relaxed mine, I underprocessed it. I just waited the usual 6 weeks and did it again.
Can you do a before and after or transformation please :-)
Before and after of what exactly?
