I have the same machine. You’re supposed to turn it on before you pour the mixture in so it going as you’re pouring. Also, I keep my drum in the freezer all the time and I’ve done as much as three in one day. If you clean it right away and get it back in the freezer you should be able to do more than one a day.
Looks great!! Someone gifted me one of those same ice cream makers and I never used it. I literally had it for like ten years and I'm finally going to use it. I think I will start with this recipe right here.
This looks like a delicious recipe. I just bought the Cuisinart ice-21 maker and am going to try this. Love how you have your family involved in making this yummy dessert. Good job kids!!
Ya know , I did hear that too...the reason being they say itl all stick to the sides and freeze, but I didn't see that here at all !!!! Im tryin that 🫐 blueberry, you guys !!
Yes! Absolutely you must turn the machine on first BEFORE you add any liquid, otherwise when the liquid touches the frozen bowl it will stick to it and will make it hard to turn and that will eventually break the plastic paddle that is fixed in the center!
You NEVER EVER EVER pour mixture into a machine that is not already rotating! You can end up flash freezing ice on the tub walls and locking your blade in place where it can't move and ruining the entire batch. Major mistake!
@@richardgunn1429 Doesn't matter at all .... if you flash freeze mix to the side wall, the drum can't spin.... there is no mechanical difference between the drum being stationary with a moving paddle, or the paddle being stationary with a rotating drum. Mechanically it's a non issue. That's why either way, you still get ice cream.

Important safety tip - never leave the handle of a hot pot pointing off the stove, turn it so nobody can bump into it. Love the team effort ❤
Thank you very much

Gracias por enseñar como usarla. La acabo de comprar
Just a note here... the manufacturers directions actually say to turn it on BEFORE adding your ingredients.
Wow, that sounds like it could be messy.

❤
Making this today! BTW your helper is awesome!
Right on, and thank you so much.
Good dad.
Hey, is there a way to use honey in recipe instead of sugar ?? Do all the sorbet recipes in the book require the sugar?
Hello Danny, I don’t think the book has a recipe calling for honey but I bet it would work. It would probably taste a bit different though.
@@thedolfinishangri-la2181 thank you!
I've got one coming tomorrow. Can you cut down on the sugar?
Yes, I would but my wife likes things very sweet.
I saw one where you just put in frozen fruit so I found it on amazon but it had bad reviews so I looked at this one but it is so much more work 😩😂
Really, it just takes time to wait for the bowl to freeze. It wasn’t too much work.
thank you
You’re welcome.
How much liquid can the bowl hold ? Thanks!
I think it hold about 1.5 quarts.
Turn machine on & pour mixture while the paddles are moving
Thank u
You are welcome! Any time.

The directions say to turn on before adding ingredients . The paddle doesn’t move, the bowl spins around the paddle.
